Great food friendly staff. We both had the winner winner chicken dinner it was excellent mashed was terrific and baby lima beans with pieces of bacon was great gave it extra added flavor . and the rolls were very good

It was ok. We stopped in for breakfast. I had the Amish Bacon, a dish with 3 strips of thick sliced bacon, a couple of eggs, and I selected hash browns and toast. Eggs are eggs, cooked close enough to over easy. I liked the bacon, not anywhere close to crispy and was lean and quite tasty. The hash browns were bad, the shredded style cooked in a circle form, a bad product cooked with a bad oil.I was concerned bacon and eggs offered for a nice low price was not going to be enough for the hungry me this morning, so I also got a short stack of pancakes. My concern was valid and the pancakes were good. My first impression of the restaurant was not very good. It could use a makeover. I would not go so far as to say it was not clean but the old booths and dark wood, and the dark pink paint did not convey a clean inviting message. Seating consists of 5 stools along a lunch counter and lots of booths. It was busy during our visit but there was no wait. That may be due more for the location than the food, there is not much else in the immediate area. Service was ok. It did take 15 minutes between placing our order and receiving our food, a little longer than I would have expected.

Perfect biscuits! Great traditional diner with easy prices. FYI for my fellow newspaper-with-breakfast eaters: bring your own paper or hope someone has left one at the restaurant. There is no paper box.
Horrible. Sausage gravy on a chicken fried steak?!?! The mashed potatoes were real but again, sausage gravy?Breakfast might be decent but how hard is it to crack an egg?My dining partner ordered what the waitress claimed was their signature dish, meatloaf. It was easily the worst meatloaf I have ever tasted. The gravy slathered all over the plate was an instant brown gravy.This is NOT home cooking. If anyone tells you it is, they grew up in a high school cafeteria.
