Some of the best wings in town. Only negative can be the service, it’s hit and miss.
Bad service and no manager! We wanted to try Ed’s being that we are new to the area and were looking for good sports bar. When we first walked in, we waited at the hostess stand for a few minutes before being greeted (later we found out there were at least 2 working at the time). Then we waited at our table for 10 minutes and were not greeted. I asked the hostess if we could get a server. A 5 minutes later, the same hostess and 2 servers had walked by and still we had not been greeted. We noticed a different hostess standing at the hostess stand watching TV as a gentlemen had walked in. He was looking around as he was looking for something but standing there clearly in need of assistance. The hostess waited at least a minute before looking at the gentleman. Guess she was into the football game. When she finally did look at him, she said nothing. She didn’t smile or anything. She just glared at him as if he was imposing. It would have been entertaining to see what happened next, but we had enough and decided to leave. I did not see a manager or I would have address the lack of service and the hostess’ aparant lack of concern for anyone or anything. Clearly, she was a young kid who only cared about collecting a paycheck. Too bad, we heard the food was good but I guess we will not ever know for sure. Where was the management? Too many places competing for our business to tolerate this poor service. We will not try Ed’s Tavern again.
Food is surprisingly good. For a small tavern like this, the food is actually really good. I had a turkey ruben that was made right!
