I don’t think the people who left the negative reviews have even been here. They have several ciebiche options, and most of the time it’s one of the owners working the front. The sushi chef is very personable as well as being excellent at his art. The atmosphere is more sterile than inviting, but this place has the best combination of food and service around.
Going to Maemi Peruvian Japanese Restaurantwith the expectation that you’re going to have good service, good food, and a good ambience is clearly a mistake. What we experienced was an awful service. Personally, I expect better service and prefer the sushi chef a bit more. He was eclectic and sorta strange to me. Chef has some major attitude,plus he gives a weird vibe.The decoration of dishes is very poor and cheap. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, go somewhere else where you can have better experience
I rank it this high just for their sushi options which are unique and tasty. Atmosphere isn’t the bet when dining in, but service is always good. I still don’t understand how a restaurant with Peruvian roots cannot have a ceviche item – baffling.
IN LOVE with this place!. I ADORE Peruvian food and LOVE sushi, this place offers the best of both worlds and also an awesome fusion of the two best cuisines in the world. I recommend the huancaina roll and the Twin roll… absolutely amazing!
Maemi: Best sushi in town!. I had a great experience having dinner with friends, we ordered several rolls and they were all just delicious, we all loved the ‘Peruvian sushi rolls’. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is welcoming. Will be coming back. Totally recommend it.
Delish. Sushi rolls are amazing, they have great combinations that I haven’t tasted before. The mix between Peruvian and Japanese flavors are excellent. Loved the ambience, you can tell is very clean.
