Incrdible food!. Every meal there has been scrumptious and the staff is incredibly friendly! My favorite is fish and chips and the Greek Omelettes with cheesy grits! We go often after church!
Not good for Gluten Free. Both my husband and myself are Gluten Intolerant. They do not have a gluten free menu and the waitress had very little knowledge about it. It turned out that very little cooked there is fresh food. Most is frozen, prepared foods that come in bags that do not even list ingredients. We had very limited choices other than eggs. Even hamburgers were cooked on a grill that buns were also laid on so that was out. This should not be listed on a gluten free friendly restaurant list!
Best fish & chips. Still my favorite place for fish and chips.
Great locally owned. Always stop for breakfast or lunch when visiting family here.05 Apr, 2014Great place. Always stop for breakfast or lunch when in this area. Very good food and service. Locally owned; very friendly staff.
We discovered Sea Star one Sunday morning looking for a nice local, uncrowded place to have a good breakfast. Friendly staff, nice menu, delicious food, plenty of it and a great price! This is a great neighborhood restaurant! We will be back!
Glad we stopped by. We did not start out today going to the Sea Star Caf but had trouble finding our first choice. Hungry and a little disappointed we did not bring an address, we spotted the Sea Star and decided it looked ok enough to give it a try. Im glad we did.My Reuben was excellent. It had great corned beef, a liberal amount of dressing and cheese, and tasty sauerkraut. Tomato slices, an unusual ingredient, also worked well. The sandwich was warm and a bit messy. Listed as the best in town, this sandwich would compete very well even in a town much larger than Lakewood Ranch. The place has a dozen tables and a lunch counter inside, and patio seating outside. It was busy when we arrived but not overly so. I liked the place, it has that light seashore blue color with tasteful seashore themed decorations. We had no trouble with parking (a Saturday around noon) but I can see a potential shortage when they are real busy. We had very good service, friendly and accommodating, and the food arrived in good time.
Tasty. Good food and reasonable prices. My only complaint is that they don’t stay open for dinner as there isn’t many dining options in the area.
