Delicious!. By far the best Mexican/Spanish cuisine I have tried (at least compared to back home). They start you off with nachos and salsa – both of a mild and spicy variety. The main courses are huge and loaded with cheese, however they don’t provide sour cream. Absolutely delish, my favourite restaurant that I tried on my most recent trip to South Florida.

Subpar. Is there anywhere to get authentic Mexican food in South Florida? Yes, and it’s not here. The problem is, I’d be fine with their brand of faux-Mexican cuisine if it tasted good. It’s overly salty, cheesy, and bland. It seems like they don’t season their meats with anything except salt, and everything sort of tastes the same. The best things on our table last night were the chips and salsa, which for me isn’t reason enough to go back. For fake Mexican food, try Tijuana Taxi down the street or even better, El Jefe Luchador in Deerfield (which, to be fair, has some authentic elements). For real Mexican, try Taqueria Dona Racquel in Pompano (and I’m sure there are others). For boring, bland food covered in cheese, go to La Bamba. It’s not worth the long wait on a Friday night (or ever).

Not like before. I always loved La Bamba. Went there the other day with cousins and it was awful. The fajitas were way salty and the tune sanwich was warm. The waitress did not understand the questions asked. VERY disapointed.
