Peruvian Fast Food. This is a fast food restaurant, but it has wonderful pollo a la brasa (grilled chicken) and also other Peruvian dishes including seafood. It is extremely cheap for chicken ($4-5). The seafood is $12-15. This is not a place to go to for a restaurant experience but it is infinitely better than fast food, at fast food pricing. All their branches seem to have the same food, so choose the closest. This is a unique place that is great for real foodies (as well as people who have pined for pollo a la brasa ever since leaving Peru).

La What????. When someone told me about about this place my response was La what??? I never heard of the place much less pronounce the name. I am not hispanic, but I love cuban and amercian mexician foods. But I’m not familiar with this style, I think it’s peruvian. Little did I know I was in for a treat. I had the boneless chicken breast platter with salad instead of beans served with Tostones ( flatten plaintains ,not the sweet ones. fried). Service is basic cafeteria style you place your order and stand or sit and wait for your number to be called. I use my time wisely and load up at the onion sauce bar. There are maybe 5 different different onion sauces with different levels of heat and garlic. The hot onion sauce is incredible. Never had a sauce like this before. My number gets called and I get a large portion of chicken with grilled onions with a good side of salad and a mound of tostones. Is the Heaven? No it’s Margate:) The favors are fantastic. What a great meal and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant is nothing fancy so don’t let that scare away. Beware, the onions stay with you for the rest of the day, so bring some mints or better yet a toothbrush:) Remember to tell them Dan sent you and stay hungry!
Good food and lots of it. I’ve been to several of their restaurants (I lost track of how many they have). Their food is always good and they give you lots of it. I always have enough for another meal. My favorite is the steak, I believe they use skirt steaks. They can be a little chewy, but they taste great. They are marinated in a sauce that has a lot of flavor. Most of the time, the steaks are so big they hang over the edge of the huge plate they give you. Their chicken is wonderful too. They have several tasty sauces to put on the chicken. They also have a several chopped onion relishes you can choose from: plain, garlic, jalapeno, spicy, etc. The restaurant also offers family portion meals. My only complaint is that they have so many other wonderful dishes on their menu. I will assume they are Peruvian dishes. Most Americans don’t know what they are and there is no explanation. It would be helpful to have a menu that told what the dishes are.
