I have been to the Dam Dinner maybe 8 times. Only once was I a little disappointed with the food. It didn’t stop me from going back. My husband and I enjoy breakfast there very much. They give you more than enough food and it is always good and fresh. The biscuits are huge and yummy. Their prices may be a tad on the high side but you get what you pay for.
I ordered a cheese, mushroom and sausage omelette. What I got was a big lukewarm omelette with literally, a stick of gum size piece of cheese melted to the inside of the egg. Couldn’t find but a few crunchy, overcooked crumbs of sausage, and an entire can of canned mushrooms, that evidently, had not had the liquid drained out. It was so watery, they must have just opened the can and poured it onto the egg. YUCK!!! I’ll never eat there again!
Wow! This is a fantastic out of the way diner worth the drive! Friendly & good old fashioned food. I ordered biscuits & gravy w/ breakfast and got a biscuit as big as a dog house!!! Just go & see for yourself. But it’s not a pretty place.
Service sucked. The worse service I’ve had in many years. I use to wait tables. Food was ok. Two guys having hamburgers and sweet tea $23.75. Ridiculous. I will never go there again. I’m a local. You will be disappointed if you go there.

For five years my breakfast has been perfect, the staff wonderful, and the best biscuits and gravy. This dinner has breakfast the way it was meant to be.
