Mediocre. Nothing special. Place kind of smelled like mothballs. Publix sushi is fresher.
We often frequent the Japanese restaurants in the area. Thought we’d try Sakura. Must say that they were OK but nothing really special. Some members of my family found out after ordering and getting their meal, that one item ( noodles )listed on the menu as part of the dinner, did not come with the meal. Said it was error on menu but neglected to tell us when ordering. Only after the fact. Also, my daughter and son in law were very dissapointed with quantity of entree on their plates. As a matter of fact we all agreed that. We never saw Scallops served sliced on plated not served whole. Guess there might have been Four scallops total on the plate. All in all our experience was just OK. Won’t be in a rush To go back…..
Sakura Sushi, a great dissappointment. Wanted to try out a new sushi place, in ocala, instead of having to drive to gainesville for decent sushi, so me and my wife decided to give this new place a try. my wife ordered a avocado salad….. which normally is a complete salad, some shredded carrots, tomato perhaps, and of course avocado and or some sesame seeds and lettuce, she didn’t expect….. lettuce leaves covered in about 3 whole avocados sliced up. i tried some of the sushi rolls, sadly the quality was not fresh fish, you could taste the unfreshness, i also ordered the Udon Noodle soup, but when the order came it was Tempenyaki style, which it fried up stir fry style udon, when i asked for the soup, the waitress said i would have to pay for a whole other dish. suffice to say that this place lacks quality, and customer service, i had to say 5 or six times could i get it removed from my bill because of the waitress saying she would have to pay for it, for a mistake she had already made.also the spelling on the menu is terrible, overall i will not be returning to this resteraunt at its location next to publix plaza on us 27, ill go to publix for better grade sushi… if that says anything….sincerly, Matt C.
Excellent sushi and the service is outstanding. Fresh sushi and they will even customize an order (sushi wrapped in thin slices of cucumber).. Amazing!
This place is absolutely amazing!! Awesome sushi, and their crystal chicken rice with shrimp sauce is a MUST have!! The BEST fried rice I have ever had and I eat sushi about twice a week wherever I am.
Everything was good.
The best Japanese food that we have had in the state of Florida ! Try the Edamame, Sahura Roll, and Diamond Roll. The is a world class restaurant !!!!
