A little pricey for the amount of food you get. Flavor was good, but my gyro meat was dry, it had obviously been sitting a little while. Overall, the service was friendly, but the value and flavor wasn’t what I had hoped for.
Decided to try Ali’s for lunch upon a local recommendation. Quick service, within 5 minutes. Ordered the spicy gyro, I would recommend it again. Not a lot of food for the price but doable for a quick lunch. Skip the house salad it was nothing special, I was expecting something closer to a simple Greek house salad but received lettuce tomatoes onion with olive oil.
Came here for lunch wirh a friend and were eating and a cockroach crawled down the wall next to our table. Not appetizing at all. It’s a shame as I was looking forward to it.
Ali Baba’s food is consistently good. We have been frequenting this restaurant since we moved here in October 2014. I give Ali Baba only three stars because the price of the food is not appropriate for what you are receiving. Over the past year the price has risen over a dollar while the portions continue to get smaller and smaller. We came in a couple weeks ago and the gyro was the smallest I had received yet. My husband and I left still hungry. FWB only has two Greek establishments and this is by far the better of the two. The food is good, the service is excellent, but it is hard to justify almost ten dollars for a tiny gyro and a small handful of fries. I really wish the owners would come down off of the prices and provide a decent portion. I truly believe if they did this and advertised better they would have more business. I hate seeing this place empty every time I come in, because the food really is great. We are going to give them one last shot tonight and if it is still skimpy portions we will not be coming back.
I had their spicy gyro sandwich and hummus…yummmmm! The hummus tasted VERY fresh and the spice in the gyro was just right. I’ve eaten Greek/Turkish food from all over the US, Europe, and Middle East and this was definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had. Oh, and their fries are so amazing!!!
I love Mediterranean/Greek food.. It is definitely one of my favorites and this place did not disappoint! The staff was friendly and the food was amazing! I can’t wait to go back and get the gyro again! If you’re in the area, give it a try!!!
