The Chefs Table is a must, what an enjoyable experience. Chef Chris and the Owner James were wonderful and the food was amazing! Thanks for the unforgettable night.
Poor Choice of a restaurant. Very disappointed in our meal. We had the shrimp scampi and it was extremely disappointing. For $23.00 each it was majorly over priced and the quality was very poor. We will never return to this restaurant. The only thing that was good was the local IPA. Good beer, other than that, stay away.
Great steaks!. I am from up north and know a great steak when I taste one! I don’t know why this place has such bad reviews. Maybe they were bad in the past but I have been there around 5-6 times within the last few months and the food is always good. The service is always adequate as well. As far as the person complaining about not being seated on Christmas….it’s Christmas you should have made a reservation. You also said the kitchen was backed up and that is why they didn’t seat you. You would have complained anyway had you been seated for waiting too long for your food…..
Opened late and charged from bread. Went for lunch, with sign stating they opened at 11am. Went at 5 min till and was closed, came back at 11:10 still closed…went back at 11:20 finally opened. Informed me that they charge for bread during lunch (meals are not cheap) and that I could not change my sides even for a fee. I was allowed to change sides though when one was unavailable. For price of food, completely not worth it.
Refused to seat because kitchen was backed up. Went to firehouse for christmas dinner . Hostess stated they were unable to seat us as there kitchen was backed up. We observed tables empty. Guess they don’t want or need our busniess. We will not be back. Went to chart house instead. We were seated right away and the food is great.
Extremely Disappointed- Food decent but AWFUL service. [Visit on Nov. 19th, 2014 @ 3pm]My husband, father in law, uncle in law and brother in law are all firemen, so we thought we’d try out the Firehouse just because of the fire theme. We are so disappointed and frustrated that we wasted our money and date afternoon (aka time our kid was with the babysitter) on this place. To sum it up, we arrived at 3:00 and there was only one server to cover the entire restaurant- and I suspect she was actually the bartender. We finished our meal FINALLY at 4:45. Yep, almost TWO HOURS to eat a (very) late lunch, and not because we were hanging out and wanting to be there that long. When we first arrived we saw a couple next to us get up and leave before ordering, and I wish now that we had done the same. The AC was set at 65 and running on this abnormally chilly Florida day. I had to ask twice for them to shut it off. It was insanely cold inside. This was probably the most frustrating part of our experience. It’s a cold Florida day and they had the AC running at 65! Our waters arrived with some sort of chunks floating around inside. Food took a ridiculously long time. Husband’s veggies did not come out with his steak and mashed potatoes- we were told it would be just a moment- 15+ minutes later when he was done with his food we inquired about the veggies–we finally got the veggies as we were ready to pay and leave. Server was seriously just completely unorganized and oblivious as to how to provide even average or ok service. I was a server in college, so part of me felt bad for her as they were obviously understaffed, but she didn’t even seem to care that the service was bad— flat out bad. I just couldn’t believe that a place with a higher-end menu would not invest in more training for service, or that they would allow themselves to be so understaffed. Our lobster bisque ($9), 8oz filet meal ($21), and bacon burger ($15) came out to $48- all off of the lunch menu. We don’t mind paying more for good food, but the atmosphere and service need to match the cost. I can’t say enough about how disappointing our experience was. Oh and for you sweet tea drinkers- only unsweet tea, but don’t worry, she was prompt to offer us some sugar and a spoon, since it’s practically the same thing, right? 🙂 Wish we would have just stuck with the Burger Place.
Prime steaks, done to perfection. We sat in the kitchen area and got to watch the magic in the kitchen. Creative chef food service. Wine list needs to be upgraded.
