Amazing!. This is the best Asian food in the area. Everything is always so fresh. Delivery is quick and the food is still steaming when you get it! I recommend the Tangy Crispy Beef. It is strips of beef in a tangy sauce served with your choice of fried, white, or brown rice. The place is small, not really dine in even though there is a table and bench. If you have not tried this place you are missing out!!!
Yum!. Got the $6.95 lunch special today~ Wow~ talk about a bargain for your money! Delicious soup comes with it, a spring roll and your choice of brown rice instead of white or fried. It was SO tasty and enough for 2 meals. So friendly, too. I will be stopping here on a regular basis from now on!!!
Best Chinese food around. Been going here for years now. Staff is friendly and the food is great, you just have to get over the sketchiness of the restaurant itself. Plus, you can’t beat the prices!
Fantastic Food!!. I just tried Chi Lin for the first time and WOW, it is fantastic!!!! For $21 I got the General Tso’s combo w/fried rice, hot & sour soup & a spring roll, chicken lo mein, beef chow mein w/fried rice, and a large Won Ton/Egg Drop soup. The fried rice was exactly what I’ve been missing for YEARS. Other takeout places have yellow rice w/ tiny pieces of vegies. This was brown (from the soy sauce and oil) with fresh veggies and out of this world flavor. The chow mein & low mein were just as flavorful, the vegies were fresh and crunchy. Nothing was overly salty or sweet. The General Tso’s is for my husband so I’ll update the review after he is finished. Just from looking at it I think it will be as great as everything else (the sauce is the right color – no red food dye or corn starch – and it doesn’t seem to be overly breaded). This is my new spot for Chinese! Keep in mind this is for take out only (no seating). They also deliver, which is a great service.
Good Chinese food to take out, not a place to bring a date.. This is what Chinese food should be about… Vibrant, light sauces that enhance the other ingredients, not overwhelm them. The vegetables are crisp and a bit crunchy, not mushy and over cooked. I wish they had egg rolls, vice spring rolls, but I guess you can’t have everything. In an area where most Chinese restaurants have starchy and syrupy sauces and over cook vegetables to a soft, mushy mess, Chi Lin is a place to get away from that crap. Their diced chicken with peanuts is what I call Kung Pao chicken has a nice, light, but spicy sauce. Crunchy celery and crisp vegetables enhance the experience. Very nice! The lunch combo is more than you can eat for about $6.50. Try it, you’ll like it!
Best Chinese I’ve had in a long time!. I had the General Tso chicken with fried rice and it was amazing! Not too spicy, but they included several pieces of chili peppers so it was spicy enough. The rice was simply outstanding. Five stars in my book. I can’t believe we have lived in MI for over a year and haven’t tried Chi Lin before. The kids had the chicken with mixed vegetables and loved it!
Finally Good Chinese in Florida!. WOW!!! I have been missing Scallion Pancakes for 4 years- ever since I moved to Florida from Vermont- and finally I have found them!! They are perfect! We also tried the veggie pan fried dumplings and they were just like my favorites back in Boston, and the crab rangoons were awesome. Lots of meat and cheese. The fried rice is brown, not the icky yellow fried rice so often found around here. The rice had loads of flavor. We also had the szchuan chicken, which had a nice spice and tasted flavorful and fresh. I only wish that they were not 28 miles from my house! Even still, I’ll go back again and again. This is the best Chinese I have found in Florida to be sure. Highly recommended!
