We REALLY wanted this place to be good but the food was just awful. I got the Burritos and my fiance got the Enchiladas. Both dishes were covered in a very cheap tasting shredded cheese and the enchiladas were full of cheese that appeared to be from a can (cheese wiz). Furthermore, the tea was not freshly brewed, it was carbonated and from a Coke foutain machine. The rice, beans, and chicken were tasteless. There was literally no seasoning on any of the food. Save your money, Taco Bell has more better food than El Tucan. It was definitely not fine Mexican food as advertised.
Lousy Mexican food. If you want to know what prison food probably taste like then this is your place. Disgusting taste , and if you’re not buying an alcoholic beverage then you get terrible service. They seem to want to be more of a party Bar than a restaurant. Then after they load you up on alcohol they don’t mind sending you out to drive on the highways where kids and families are. Terrible management too. Found a small bone , size of a pinky nail, in my ground beef taco and was told it didn’t come from their food ? ? ? ? REALLY ? El Tucan has gone from good to the worstSo do they try and fill you with alcohol so you won’t know how bad the food really is?

( read creamy and rich green color, California grown). The margaritas are made of the good stuff, your choice of tequila, + Grand Mariner, + Cointreau. Both top shelf. That a margarita Makes my friend.
Best Mexican Restaurant possibly in Florida. We absolutely love this place and we know Mexican food! The food, service and everything about this place is way above anything else we have found. I mean we are in our 50s and have eaten at many Mexican restaurants in many parts of the country and my wife and I both agree this is the finest any where on the spacecoast or anywhere close! My wife had a Doctors appointment in the area and we were planning on trying out this pizza place that was rated pretty high but ended up going strait to El Tucan and did not regret it. Can not say enough good things about this place! The chips and salsa are fantastic! If you get the enchiladas be sure and ask for spicy! Yum!
Horrible service. The waitress over charged us. El tucan did nothing to resolve the issue all they did was apologize for the waitress being new.
Always great service and great food. Never had a bad meal. Salsa a chips are best around. Not store bought like some other Mexican places in town. Only wish it was open on Sundays.
Nice and Fresh!. For starters we had the Guacamole and Queso dip, both were fresh, tasty and made with quality ingredients. The house Salsa and Chips are excellent as well. I had the fried burritos and my partner had the pulled pork tacos. The fried burritos had a nice combination of fresh ingredients and were cooked just right-very tasty! The pulled pork tacos were very good as well. Also, the staff is very friendly and professional. This is where I’ll go for great Mexican food from now on!
