Been there at least 49 years and still the same… How many places have come and gone? Come on its atmosphere is awful but the food is very decent and good for the money. If you want great atmosphere high prices and bad food go to toucans.

Not worth the money. Food is bland and overpriced. Been twice with the same experience. Won’t be back ;(
Pretty darn good food at a decent price. Staff is always great. Food can take a little too long to come out sometimes but It’s well worth the wait. Two thumbs up from this local.
When in doubt, follow the locals.. I eat here about once a year while vacationing in Mexico Beach, and I haven’t had a bad experience yet. It’s always nice to see lots of locals in a beach restaurant, and the casual atmosphere is nice when you can’t be bothered to get out of beach clothes. Good lunch prices, fresh seafood, and some of the best seafood chowder I’ve had. I do wish they had some healthier sides (the green beans are definitely cooked Southern style, swimming in pork grease), but the portions are generous. I’ve always been too full to try dessert.
