I would give it a 0 rating but facebook wont let me. NEVER eat at triple tails… worst food EVER worst service EVER, Not polite or helpful, very slow and they werent even that busy. Feel horribly sick now too and didnt even eat half of what we had… will never make that mistake again… did not leave a tip beacause nothing about that experience is good… having worked in hospitality most of my working life i always tip well and if i dont there is a good reason… should have trusted the reviews we read but decided to give it a try. We had the seafood platter and the stuffed crab we had tasted awful, the fish wasnt cooked, the oysters were meant to be fried but were virtually raw… i dont even want to start on the shrimp and scallops… mush springs to mind… the only thing that tasted nice was the fries … even the coleslaw tasted sour, i have a seriously upset stomach now. The waitress had the personality of a rock and was non attentive and miserable, i ended up going to hannah the wonderful girl on that was doing the seating at the front desk because i was waiting for the waitress to come back and ask if we needed anything and she didnt, so i went to ask for mayonnaise! Not only that, i wanted to try the triple pelican cocktail, however this has pineapple juice so i asked for 1 with out the pineapple… she said no i cant do that they are in pre made pitchers, but we have a full bar… so we reply if you have a full bar can you not make 1 and leave out the pineapple? She said no we cant do that!! I would NEVER step foot in this establishment again and if you dont want food poisoning i wouldnt go there either.
Pretty decent supper. I had the blackened flounder with a side of cheese grits and a salad with the house dressing. The flounder was good but I really expected it to be better. We had the blue crab dip as an appetizer and it was very good. Had a nice kick to it. Our waitress was extremely friendly. Nice atmosphere to the place as well and they have several local beers on tap
Late Lunch was Great. Seafood tower was very good, fried shrimp were light and good. Would come back.
Poor food and poor service. Yesterday my husband and I tried to eat at Triple Tails for the first time. The waitress said the oyster stew was homemade so we ordered 2 bowls along with a shrimp po boy with fries and a Sprite and sweet tea. We had to wait a bit before the stew was served and when it was it was terrible looking and tasting and not very warm. The stew was curdled, that’s the best description I can think of, and the oysters had an odd texture. I make oyster stew so I know how it should look and taste. Campbell’s would have been much better. We pushed the bowls to the opposite side of the table. We still don’t have the po boy. The waitress walked by us several times and never spoke a word to us nor picked up the uneaten stew. There were some people that came in after us and one of the ladies said something to the waitress after she stopped at their table about the stew. She (waitress) took it to the kitchen area, spoke to a blonde who was in the area (not the cook), and still never stopped at our table. The others were waited on before us and had a much larger food order which they received and we are still waiting. When my husband asked when our sandwich would be ready the waitress went to the window and asked about it. We heard the cook say she was going to fix it. We had already waited approximately 30 minutes so we paid the bill. The waitress never said a word to us, never asked about the stew, and never tried to make any adjustment to the bill. So the Sprite and sweet tea was expensive….$23. We will never go back and never recommend them to anyone. What a great first experience there!
Truly awful. I respectfully sugest your family go elsewhere as to avoid having an experience similar to my family had with this restaurant.
Crab cake sandwich to die for!. Just stopped in for lunch, and all four of us were pleasantly surprised at the variety of meals offered and the friendly, helpful staff that served us the most wonderful crab cakes, blackened mahi, mahi, and a very tasty shrimp poorboy. Wonderful fresh market next door, if you want to cook it yourself. Close to Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach. Will go there the next trip down.
Great food, Nice atmosphere & Service with a smile. This restaurant has a variety of seafood, oysters on the half shell more ways than you can imagine, steamed shrimp that is scrumptious, fresh flounder, catfish, mullet & triple tail. They have a childrens menu, fish tacos, awesome desserts, a full bar & a wine selection, tastefully decorated and comfortable inside and out, a humorous manager and an owner that cares about your experience all for a reasonable price.
