Fresh on Deco Drive!. When my friend told me that she had visitors from out of town and wanted to eat in the Ocean Drive, this restaurant is one of the first to come to mind. A fish Called Avalon always makes the top list of must visit dining venues .Featuring live music every evening, fresh catch of the day, great people watching, impeccable service and the whole Art Deco dining experience. Some of the plates we tasted were:*Bang Bang Shrimp (turmeric-curry spice mixture, mint-yogurt sauce, cucumber-pepper relish)*Jumbo-Lump Crab Cake (hericots verts, microgreens, spicy sriracha rmoulade)*Crab-Crusted Grouper (steamed spinach, giant white beans, roasted teardrop tomatoes, madeira beurre blanc)*Jumbo Shrimp Scampi Provencal (roasted tomato, garlic, chardonnay, avocado, leek-spinach basmati rice, manouri cheese)*Twin Whole Maine Lobster (steamed, drawn butter, lemon wedge)*8 Oz. Filet Mignon (potato mash, steamed spinach, roquefort cheese, demi-glace)Parking on Ocean drive can be a challenge, but the restaurant has valet parking. The food is always delicious at A Fish Called Avalon and you are a hop, skip and jump to some best nightlife in Miami Beach.

Great place after a morning at the beach. Had lunch here after spending the day at the beach. Great service. Great food. Highly recommended.
Critic. Good food, great Miami atmosphere!! My advice, pay attention to what the waiter charges your card. My credit card company sent me an alert that the waiter was trying to put my card through for $796 for dinner…for 2 people! Called the manager to let her know and she was too casual about the whole thing.
Online price is deceiving. Food was delightful….good service. But dinner prices range from $35-$70
For the price you could do a lot better. It’s good but not great!
