About
Chivitoteca is a Uruguayan food restaurant serving Uruguayan style pizza -- by the meter -- and faina, Uruguay's famous Chivitos and several types of grilled meat, as well as empanadas, wraps and salads. Chivitoteca is the new name of Miami's famous "El Rey del Chivito", which has been operating in its current location for 10 years. With a renewed feel and look, but keeping its traditionally large-sized and high quality dishes, Chivitoteca aims at providing its customers with a family-style environment, a renewed infrastructure, new delicious menu items and its traditionally excellent food.Besides enjoying our food, we invite you to come and also enjoy worldwide soccer games in our new TV screens, free Wi-Fi, a Uruguayan medio-y-medio drink while you are waiting for your food and to discover our new list of Uruguayan wines. We are happy for your feedback and hope to be able to meet your expectations and further improve our restaurant.Details

The food was good. Although it wasn’t busy at the time we were there, the food took awhile and then the meat was overdone. Other than that, good service and great taste.

Try the Chivito, an authentic Uruguayan sandwich and the Milanesa, crispy fried breaded beef. For dessert the dulce de leche crepes are great!
I definitely recommend it. I had their Canadian chivito and it was incredible. It fills you up easily and it has such a nice environment even if it’s a small place.
We ate here twice while in Miami. Once it was excellent; great food. the second time it was mediocre. It did not have bread, the service was inattentive and food had declined. It made us reconsider how great it was on the first visit.
that experience was very good. the service was excellent, the people was friendly and the meal was exactly amazing. Chivitoteca is the best restaurant I’ve ever visited in miami beach. I love it so much and i will come back shore.
The chivitos were authentic and delicious – of a comparable size to what you would get in Uruguay. The atmosphere is laid back, service was a bit slow but staff were friendly. I would definitely return on future visits to Miami!
