James Royal Palms is great but this place is not good, plenty of better cheaper places out side the hotel.
Amazing experience, seated for dinner and order the vaca frita while the gf ordered the NY Strip steak, both were exceptional, also ordered the spicy fries which were brilliant. For dessert we had the Key Lime Pie.. Sensational and only $8?? So fresh. Entire experience was exceptional including an extremely high level of service from our waitress and all staff at the restaurant, highly recommend this place and this is rare as we are very picky
We went with a great looking pre fix menu choices. I had the Conch Chowder, the ox tail main dish, and the chocolate cake dessert. The chowder was delicious and interesting (I’ve never had conch before), it has bacon in the chowder so pork averse people beware. The ox tail was also new to me but it was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The grilled potatoes on the side went perfectly with the ox tail and sauce. The dessert was amazingly good too. My wife had the goat cheese and tomato salad, the fresh yellow fish, and the key lime pie. All of which I tried and thought were delicious. Service was also top notch.
Delicious, perfect food.. As big fans of Red Light Little River, we were excited to try Florida Cookery. We were not disappointed. The food is local, creative and perfect. The crust on the key lime tart/pie is the best I’ve had in my life. The place is a little on the loud side, but not unpleasant. Service was ok. I hope it is just a reflection on a new operation. We are looking forward to going back!
Cast Iron Seared Sunshine State Frog Legs ($16). The Cast Iron Seared Sunshine State Frog Legs were bathing in Florida orange and lime leaves and served with a spicy almond-jicama stir-fry. The frog legs were truly exceptional: delicate, crunchy-soft and mild with a texture that was close to perfection. First-time frog-leg-eater, Miss I., could not believe that they could taste this good. It was a handsome dish too, decorated with micro-greens and stalks of lemongrass. The jicama fries (a sweet, root vegetable that looks like a turnip) were also lovely; eating them was pure pleasure. miamiculinarytours.com
