Rude staff, overpriced, cold, small portions. My date was never asked if he wanted a second beer. Will no go back.

Overpriced and not that good. I understand that when on South Beach and at the Lowes Hotel, you will pay more than you would at an average restaurant but this place was ridiculous for what you got. We dined with a party of 4 that was a work dinner. Service we fair at best. Waiter had another big table that was getting his attention so we had to wait. We ordered the seafood tower and it was very underwhelming. I have had seafood towers in other restaurants that are brimming with food. This was mostly ice. Many of the clams and oysters had sandy grit in them and the shrimp were tiny. But the thing that was really upsetting about this restaurant and which has prompted me to write this review was the Stone Crab special. It was not a specific meal, you just told the waiter how many you want. I ordered three because even a jumbo size is not very large. These again came with more ice than meat and they were not cracked very well so I ended up leaving a good amount of meat in the shell. I wouldn’t classify what I got as a meal, more of an appetizer. I have had these before on South Beach and I know that these are not cheap but my jaw dropped when the bill came and they were $40 A PIECE. SO MY LITTLE MEAL WHICH CAME WITH NOTHING ELSE BESIDES THE 3 CLAWS AND ICE AND WHICH LEFT ME STILL HUNGRY, WAS $120. MORE THAN THE TOTAL SEAFOOD TOWER! I was totally embarrassed when the bill came and my boss had to pay for this. I guess it is my fault for not asking but I never imagined that anyone could charge $40 for one crab claw (nor would they ever offer a price). My advice is find somewhere else or make sure you ask the price of everything so you don’t get ripped off. Never again.

Lure is located in the St. Moritz annex to the Lowes Hotel. We sat at the bar and grazed. We started by sharing the soft shell roll. It was a bit unusual since it was served warm. We have had this type of roll before served chilled and it is preferable. We shared a shrimp cocktail next and it was as one would expect. Large perfectly cooked shrimp with both cocktail and mustard sauce. We followed with the chicken lollipops. I have only seen them done before with lamb but they were a bit spicy and quite good. Finally we split a lobster roll sandwich. I am sure there are better to be had in New England but for SOBE it was pretty good.

Amazing Seafood!. Of course I booked a Saturday night so we could experience the true Miami scene and atmosphere of the new Lure Fishbar. When we arrived the host informed us there would be a 15-minute wait for our table, I didnt mind because we could hang at the bar, which looked lively. I tend to stick to my Vodka/Tonic but the Bartender Jennie encouraged me to try something new, which she guaranteed I would love…and I did! I had the Queens Regulator, actually I had a few. Every drink made at that bar had all sorts of intricate recipes laced with fresh exotic fruits, the bartenders looked like painters. They offer a host of specialty cocktails and I would have tried them all if I had a higher alcohol tolerance. Once we got to our table our server or Captain (everything is nautical themed) James was delightful and well versed on every aspect of the menu. I started with the Jalapeo & Spicy Yellowtail Roll, which was so delicious. There are so many appetizers to choose from, Shrimp Tempura and the Rice Cakes are an absolute MUST! I had another roll with Soft-Shell Crab and asparagus and that for me was the best. Obviously there was a ton of seafood to try but I went with the Crab Cake, it was meaty and had a spicy salad slaw. After all that I was stuffed but my Captain talked me into dessert (and more Queen Regulators). The Pot of Gold, which is banana pudding and chocolate mousse with some kind of candy drizzle was by far one of the best things Ive ever had. Everything at Lure was on point and not only did I enjoy the food but the people who helped make it a great night out!

GREAT MEAL AND GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!. The restaurant looks wonderful, the music the ambiance is great, we sat outside, we had a direct view of the ocean. the cocktail list is out of this world. sushi super fresh great quality, it was delicious, the dressed oysters and the stone claws were awesome. for the main course we had the whole daurade and the grilled king crab legs. everything was outstanding. i want to mention that a big factor to us having a great experience was andres our server he guided us thru every step and he was there for everything we needed.
