Macchialina has become an ideal venue to savor rustic Italian food in South Beach. It emits a cozy ambience and it boasts a good selection of wines and alcohol. In our dinner we had the chance to try pasta, fish and the cold meat & cheese board as well as the fish of the day which was what we liked the most. It is an alternative for a romantic meal and having a couple of drinks at its bar. What we liked the most: Whole Local Fish miamismith.com
Yummy food. The place has a good neighbourhood Italian restaurant vibe where you see locals enjoying a good bite and couples making and impression on their first culinary date challenge. The food is superb quality and taste. Don’t miss the melanzane with the smoky eggplant taste and spicy tomato sauce. Its not the traditional layered melanzane you expect. It comes in a ball shaped form. The funghi pasta was a big success. The mushrooms were exceptional, and the al dente pasta was just perfectly cooked. Great place keep it up until next time as we will be leaving place for dessert.
The Best Italian Restaurant in Miami Beach. Everything about this place is magical! I have been there many times and each and every time I am blown away by the experience. The owners Jen and Chef Michael truly have something special. Try everything! Even if you think you don’t like something, I am certain that this place turns the food you used to turn your nose up to as a kid into your favorite thing in the entire world. Case and point: The beet-filled mezzaluna. I think this might be the best pasta dish on earth. Also, you can order the spaghetti tomato from Scarpetta here – it’s an off menu item that the chef will gladly make. They also recently got a full liquor license and the specialty cocktails are ridiculously great. Any place with a serious Mezcal offering has my blessing. Keep doing what you are doing guys.
Outstanding. Macchialina is one of those special places that creates an atmosphere of family and serves you the best damn Italian food you’ve ever had. (sorry ma) The warm vibe & friendly staff make you feel comfortable & right at home and then they wow you fabulous cocktails, they just got a full bar & hired one of the city’s best barmen to oversee it, and truly inspired cuisine. The pasta, oh the pasta, black spaghetti vongole with broccoli rabe pesto, wow! Beet mezzaluna is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten & an off menu lasagna will bring you to your knees.
The best pasta in town!. We love dining at Macchialina! The food is incredible and the staff makes you feel like family. We have been coming regularly (at least once a week) for the last year. The eggplant parmigiano is to die for and I cant get enough of the handmade pastas. The wine by the glass program, so often a disappointment in smaller, quaint restaurants is a fantastic combination of quality & value. Run, don’t walk, to Macchialina if you havent been.
Cute and Quaint. Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back! The food was delicious and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s a small place that fills up quickly, so I highly recommend making reservations. The wine at happy hour is only $5 and good quality wine.
