Spent several hours at the bar last night. Great appetizers and happy hour but the magic happened when we ordered dinner. The best ribeye I have ever eaten with a side of brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked to perfection with a char but still nice and red inside. Cookie dessert was to die for. Expensive but with every penny. Stephanie was an excellent bar tender.
This is an expensive restaurant. They have some excellent appetizers including their Kobe tartar and grilled artichoke. The service is very good as are several of the steaks. The fillet mignon was not outstanding and neither was their New York steak. I loved the wagyu and Kobe selections. Excellent Brussels sprouts (as a side).
Loved the atmosphere. Good drinks… But then we ordered. If you want the 1/2 portion of something on the menu, repeat yourself a lot!! Even though the 2 size options are on the menu, the waiter WILL NOT ask you which size you want. Be careful because you will end up paying for WAY more than you bargained for! Good food- but not $170 for a dinner for 2!
What a rip off! And I rarely write that. We were two and they included the tip (18%). The waiters – they work in pairs – sound like insurance or car salesmen.
Meat Market was a bit of a disappointment. We started by sharing the escargot appetizer. It was the best part of the dinner. Six escargot were presented in a buttery sauce in a dish with six little bowls like the cruise lines do. We followed with the caprese salad. The mozzarella had a thick skin and was chewy. After finishing this we waited about 25 minutes for our entrees to be served. My wife and I each ordered the small filet and a side of the mac and cheese to share. This was the smallest 6oz steak I have ever seen. They were dry and not very flavorful. The top of the mac and cheese was burnt black and the inside was very dry. Clearly it was overcooked. I can not believe they would try to pass this off as ok. They even mildly disputed our objection but in the end took it off the bill. Frankly, at this price point, the chains like Capital Grille and Ruth’s Chris have it all over this place.
Amazing service. I got the classic burger and it was perfectly cooked, moist and delicious. Will definitely be coming back!
Prices are astronomical, food delivers. Our concierge recommended this place when we said we wanted good steak. My girl asked me to pick a bottle of wine. Cheapest cabernet was $90. Cheapest glass? $13. After overcoming the intimidating prices, I confided in our waiter Tim and shared their freshest steak, the 20 oz Kobe ribeye, with my date. He wasn’t kidding that every bite melted in our mouths. All of the side dishes, desserts and service was outstanding as well. The skinny is set aside 250 to eat here, but it’s one of the most satisfying steak houses you’ll encounter(unless you’re royalty).
