Avoid!. I had written a bad review of this place but then after finishing my meal I decided I had changed my tune….from bad to the worst. This place is about as Mexican as Michigan in the fact they both start with the letter M. The chips were soggy, salsas tasteless and the food was even worse. I had an enchilada that would have had a better mole if they had put Hershey’s syrup on it. It was filled with what appeared to be bagged jack cheese that wasn’t melted at all! The asada was dry and everything is twice the cost it should be. For a more Mexican experience hit up a Taco Bell Pizza Hut combo. Do yourself a favor and go to Ranco Grande around the corner for real Mexican food.

Cheap prices, but very good. Some people have commented on how horrible the place is, but I beg to differ. If you are in a budget, and want good Mexican grub, then Mr. Taco is the golden ticket. The lady who works there is so nice and welcoming, and the food is surprisingly amazing. I usually get the combo plate that comes with tacos and enchiladas suzia, which are enchiladas dressed with a nice robust chipolte sauce and melted cheese…..good god I can eat there for days…
More authentic than the name would suggest. We were in Miami pre-cruise and wanting to have a fun dinner with our daughter and son in-law and they suggested Mr Taco. Very unassuming place but the the staff was friendly and the food was fresh, flavorful and just great. Everyone ordered combination plates and no one went away disappointed or hungry. I loved the steak taco that came with mine, juicy tender steak, fresh veg and a warm soft taco. The guacamole and chips were yummy as well.
Worst Mexican food I ever had. I ordered for a delivery and they told me first off they didn’t have any cheese…. At a mexican restaurant?! The enchilada had the WORST spices that were so predominant that was all you could taste! Chilli powder galore! It’s inedible! The tacos were soft shells that had the worst flavors yuck! Second worst behind the enchiladas was the skirt steak which was rubbery, dry and hard. No taste. It looked like it was sitting in a car for 30 min which I’m sure it was because it took like an hour to deliver the food and I live super close. All in all. I’m NEVER GOING TO EAT THIS CRAP AGAIN! and I’m a cook who works at one of the most popular restaurants in Miami and I’m ashamed to say I ate this SH*T. Don’t eat here please. U will regret it! I promise!
Freshest food just like home. I was born in Mexico city and had not eaten any original mexican food for a long time. Mr Taco has authentic tacos of chorizo, lengua and tortas just like back home. Their prices are worth to drive 6 miles from where I live. A clean place where I feel at home. I Give them 5 stars
