Best Neighborhood Restaurant!. I love this place! The food is always good and the service is great! We always sit outside. Once it rained and the waiters graciously moved everyone indoors. They are really nice to my dog too! She loves going there!11 Jul, 2014Blackened Fish with Mashed Potatoes. The Mahi was cooked to perfection. Loved the Choron sauce and mashed potatoes/vegetables. Perfect neighborhood restaurant!
My favorite restaurant on South Beach. This is the best restaurant on South Beach. Every time I go, the food is great. The service is good for South Beach standards. The Mahi Sandwich is my favorite, but the spaghetti and meatballs is also good, as well as the thai style chicken satay. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to avoid the tourist scene, and loves good food.

Awesome every time…. I have been to Oliver’s Bistro for dinner on three seperate occasions and each time the food has been so good that I can’t help but come back. For dinner we recommend the grilled calamari (which is better than their fried calamari), the short rib entree- falls apart with a fork, the ny sirloin entree- fries are delicious and side salad has a great cilantro-lime dressing, and the madras curry entree- yellow indian style curry delicious, and for dessert- tiramisu every time- so good.
Yummy. I ordered the french toast. they give you alot of it so be warned. I also ordered the belgium waffles. that was a big plate too. i then ordered the spagetti and meatballs. the service was kinda small especially with the huge servings of brunch item that i ordered.Price was decent. Food was great. Tasted fresh and big servings overall.Only complaint is parking. There is metered parking but good luck finding an open one. There is a parking garage near it but be prepared to pay. It doesn take credit/debit card, but its a $5 minium which will buy you 5 hours. If you want less time, use cash. quarters and dollars onlyWould recommend!
I really wanted to like this place. Having moved to South Beach about two years ago, Olivers Bistro is within walking distance. It is charming pleasantly elegantly casual and enjoyable to sit out on the sidewalk terrace. The prices are reasonable. I have eaten there about eight times now . The quality varies greatly but errs on the side of not-so-good. On one visit the roasted red peppers in our dish were actually spoiled. The waiter seemed quite disinterested about this. . On three occasions the fish has been over-cooked and dry. I am tired being disappointed by this place and I think it is time to move on.
Go for brunch. Oliver’s has the best Corned Beef Hash that I have ever had. I would have took a picture of it, but I was too excited to dig in once the plate arrive to my table.I agree with the other reviews in terms of the service. We asked a server who was not waiting on us to get us a cup of syrup because we couuldn’t spot our server, and he just didn’t do it. He walked to the kitchen and back to the dining room several times, choosing to ignore us instead of helping. A few of the dishes are hit or miss, but all in all, the food is better than most regular independent restaurants. For me, the draw for this place is the brunch. Whether the service is superior or not, I’ll be back for the Corned Beef Hash!!!
