Great service, great food, cozy place. Restaurant honored our reservation on time. We were served by a very nice waiter named Milan who was very knowledgeable about dish preparations. We tried the octopus, veal meat balls and tuna tartare as appetizers and were very pleased. The lamb shanks and the veal chop entrees came out hot, tasty and with a delicious side of herbed mushroom risotto. I tried both and liked the lamb much better, but can’t go wrong with neither. We ordered the specialty dessert of the house Sebasta (or something similar, the first one listed on the menu) and were pleasantly surprised. It’s like a pastry filled with cheese, lemon zest and honey. Different and very good. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
We had a large birthday dinner here the other night, the service was excellent. The food was great, everyone was raving about how delicious the steak was. Excellent time. No hassle for large parties
An institution in the up and coming charming area of Purdy Ave. This is a restaurant not to be missed. The Fresh lobster with pasta and the rigatoni will keep you begging for more. Lots of seafood, pastas and pizza, great for lunch or dinner.
INCREDIBLE LAMB. The lamb at this place is not just the best lamb I’ve ever had, it is one of the best things of any kind I’ve ever had.
Great service, delicious simple menu that excels with seafood, as Sardinian/Sicilian cooking does. Salmon tartare was tasty, cod was cooked to perfection. Not classic Italian.
Trying far too hard to appear authentic, this restuarant has extremely limited menu options of which almost every item requires further explanation from the waitstaff. Further of the extremely few menu options rarely are staple italian dishes offered in favor instead of unusual dishes that appeal to a very small audience
We were a party of 7 and spent 440. Some food was brilliant, like our appetizers — a selection of mozzarellas, salami and prosciutto — or the sausage ragu pasta, other dishes were very good like the veal milanese or the fiorentina bistec, and other were average like the gnocchi or the grilled octopus which was a bit burned. Our waiter was very nice and the atmosphere sitting outside was very nice as well. I think we will come back since it is a nice place to eat with friends and kids and certain dishes were very good.
