Been going to South Beach for years to eat and had never ventured into this small and cozy restaurant in the lobby of a restored Deco boutique hotel. On Sunday mornings, a la carte brunch is served, so we sampled a few items like the short rib empanadas, the chicken and waffle, the shrimp BLT and egg benedicts. Everything was delicious, but the chicken and waffle was one of the best we’ve had. The chicken breast was crunchy outside and very tasty and moist inside. They serve different versions of the egg benedicts and we tried the traditional and the cantimpalo chorizo, both excellent. Service was friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Try the Scallop Tiradito!. I discovered 660 at The Angler’s while on a food tour with Miami Culinary Tours. I’ve never been incredibly big on seafood, and I’m especially squeamish when it comes to eating raw fish or ceviche. So when I heard that not only were we going to be eating scallops, but they’d been cooked using the natural acidity in lemon juice (ceviche), I got a little concerned. I left 660 flat-out amazed. Not only did I absolutely love the Scallop Tiradito, I even drank the ceviche juice at the end! Our tour guide explained to us that drinking the juice is a local custom, and is even rumored to be a hangover cure! The restaurant itself was downright beautiful, and this would be a fantastic place to hang out for an evening with friends. masterofmom.com

Beautiful setting, but ruined by pasta smothered in cheese or a sauce not described on the menu. Have a drink outside but skip the food.
It was my friends birthday and we had a large group that had a wonderful time. The staff made us feel like vip,our wine glasses were never empty , and the food was a delicious blend of comfort foods with an innovative twist . All this combined with the beautiful historic ambiance of the hotel made for a night my friends will remember . Did I mention that it was Miami Spice? Win,win! Only later did I find out that they are also a pet friendly hotel, but personally , I can ‘t wait to try the Sunday brunch, where they have something called bottomless Mimosas or bloody marys…
Hand-Cut Pappardelle Carbonara. With applewood smoked bacon, egg yolk, truffle ragu, bread crumbs. The pasta was cooked to tenderness-perfection, the sauce was never overpowering, the bread crumbs just added a slight accent, the bacon bacon does not need an introduction. miamiculinarytours.com
Didn’t make it!. My brother-in-law was in town, so we decided to take him to the Angler’s for the brunch special, all you can drink for $14.95, which sounds like a great deal. We got there at 1:00PM, only one table was occupied, but they kept us waiting for 10 minutes before sitting us. When we finally sat they gave us 2 menus and it was 3 of us. We waited and waited, getting more and more impatient by the minute, then, exactly 30 minutes after sitting at the table, we decided to leave. The menu looks really good, but the service is so awful, you may not have a chance to try.BTW, the restrooms were nothing to write home about.
