This place was amazing. Completely got into my one of the favorite Cuban restaurants. Guacamole Habanero, which is a traditional guacamole with habanero pepper, served with plantain chips and ajilimojili sauce, was so great.
Amazing contemporary restaurant and food, modern Cuban everything we tried was amazing and presentation just spectacular. Don’t miss this place! Monique Pereira
Best food my wife and I have had in a long time. By far the best food on Miami. Service was outstanding. If you come to South Beach, be sure to come to Yuca.
Miami is surrounded with Cuban American restaurants and Yuca is a great one. If you live close to Lincoln Mall like me you somehow come across the dancing people on the second floor- they offer salsa lessons. I never had the chance to experience it with a toddler and a newborn but always envied. Try their empanada, very light and tasty. Salmon Mango Tartare is to die for. I miss their yuca chips, my son was going crazy for them too. Their ceviche is a mix of different fishes and seafood, you should give it a try. Very resonable price, I would definitely reccomend. facebook.com
Totally in love with this restaurant when we visited Miami. I am a huge fan of nuovo and fusion food and this is FAB! I love vegetarian so am a HUGE fan of the Yuca Rellena (Yuca with wild mushroom picadillo. Picadillo is usually made from meat, raisins and olives,.so surprising and very tasty. My husband is a carnivore, so chose the Ropa Vieja Angus – slow braised angus beef, sweet plantain fufu and crispy red onions. Both were wonderful. Then what is a Miami meal without Mojitos. These were special. I can’t wait to go back! oliobymarilyn.com
Everything that I heard and read and experienced proved that this is not a place to come back…this restaurant is overpriced the service it’s terrible and they think they look like a fine dining and they do but they’re not…Russian server not that I don’t like them but common!!! it’s Miami! It’s a Cuban restaurant…so don’t try to hard. I also invite to everyone to experience the smell!!! Omg don’t even try
Visit Feb 7th, 2014 – too much money for the food. Went to YUCA on the recommendation from the hotel concierge. My impression is that the food is not good enough for the money. Me and my wife had 2 entres and two appetizers and I still needed a pizza to fill me up after. Total damage was $68 including tip. We had the Fried plantains, oxtail fettucini, crab cakes, and sugar cane shrimp.Crab cakes were very good as was the oxtail fettucini, but the sugarcane shrimp was bad. You can tell by the texture that it was pre-cooked and for what you pay, nothing should be pre-cooked. The fried plantains were good as well, but $5 for fried plantains?…seriously….1 fried plantain.I was also disappointed by the automatic 18% gratuity. Most restaurants I know don’t do this. Worst of all, when I paid by cash the water didn’t even give me the rest of my change back. At least give me the option to leave it there. My opinion, decent food, but not worth the money.
