A Disappointment. Last night friends and I had a mini college reunion/birthday celebration. I recommended Cancun Grill because of the great food, service, and live Marichi. We were a group of 12 and had to ask for chips/salsa as we waited for our table. My churrasco with accompaniments arrived cool, and the mariachi band played abut 3 songs, that’s it and didn’t even stop by our table. After the entree, the birthday person received a mini flan with lighted candle. I had to flag our waiter to ask him to bring the cake and candles I had brought. I would only recommended Cancun Grill for a quick drinks and maybe some appetizers at the bar only.
Bad Manager on shift Monday 09/29/14 for dinner needs to learn some management skills and manners. I am a long time area resident as well as longggggg time, (over 20 years) patron of the restaurant, on Monday I invited a business associate for lunch at CAN CUN Grill. As always, I ordered the same ceviche dish I order everytime i visit the restaurant. This time the Ceviche did not taste fresh, so I called the attendant over and advised him. It seemed odd that the manager never took the time to come over to our table and ask what was wrong with the dish. We did notice the manager, the server and the busboy, all tried the ceviche, they each put their fingers in a large container and tasted it a couple times. no wonder the ceviche tasted bad. Once finished the server brought me the bill, inclusive of the old ceviche and advised me that they had tasted the ceviche themselves and it tasted fine. I hope that Mr Martin, the owner, reads my review, as I am certain he is not aware of this behavior happening in his pride restaurant.
Not wonderful. Only dinner menu on Saturday , so lunch is expensive. Bland rice and beans, tacos came with watery avocado sauce, no salsa fresco or sour cream or cheese…my chicken was dry. Got home and visited the little girls room right away. My second attempt to enjoy the overpriced food, so on the search for authentic Mexican yet again.
There is no other Mexican restaurant like this one. From their fajitas to their fried ice cream, the food is just phenomenal!!
Common Menu, Uncommon Taste. The Chicken and Spinach Quesadilla was heavenly. The flour tortilla was grilled to the perfect point, soft yet firm. The mozzarella cheese on the inside erupted with the first bite. The basic taste of the spinach complemented the tender pieces of chicken.
