Disgusted. When i ran after my daughter in the kitchen, i saw the janitor peeling shrimp and a cat just sitting there. I can never get that image out of my head, nor can i ever come back here.
I come here all the time and the last few times i kept getting the worst waitress with a pink sweater and a pony tail. I have to wait forever to order my food and when i do, she goes and carries a conversation with the sushi chefs (which slows them down to make me wait even longer). When she comes back with out food she disappears to talk to someone else and we always end up having to bother another waitress to get our checks. She never pays attention to us and doesnt do her job. I hope management catches on to her because ive had enough of this.
Sushi was decent, but the tables were sticky and gross and felt like a China buffet.
A Comeback?. We used to eat here often and stopped because it got pretty bad about 3 years ago. The food and the service. Earlier in the year a friend told us how much he loved the King & I and we were intrigued. So we went back and have been returning at least once a month. It is great to witness the comeback of a much loved eatery. We have tried just about everything on the menu and found it just as good or better before it went to the dogs. In addition, the service has also improved. However, the pad thai needs some improvement. We still have not found a place that makes good pad thai since Micheals Thai Restaurant closed. In either case, I think it is worth a try. If like thai and/or sushi try the King & I and you might be pleasantly surprised.
I went there for lunch this past saturday and loved it! The service was great, and so is the atmosphere. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai and it has been the best i have tried in a long time. My sister ordered Crabmeat fried rice and it was a little bland for my taste. The sushi was fresh and good, the Shrimp Tempura Roll is to die for!
Their sushi at the king and I used to be great, it’s now downright aweful! On my last visit i couldn’t even finish my dish!
