Delicious food and great service.. Oh my! Great food. Ordered grilled meat and had to order more. The hot sauce is excellent. Fresh and spicy. The girls were very nice and friendly. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
$19 for two vodka and tonics!. Reasonably priced food, unfortunately I assumed drinks were also. I hate to stiff a waiter but I think he was complicit in the scam. so, what would have been a good tip, instead was used to pay for overpriced drinks. I didn’t ask for Grey Goose, It WASN’T Grey Goose (I know the dif), but that was what I was charged for.
Good food / entertainment. Walking from a nearby hotel, a friend and myself were trying to decide which of the three South/Central American restaurants to try. The Guatemalan, Peruvian or the Honduran. All are within a stones throw of each other. Under the advice of two gentleman walking in the parking lot, we followed them into the Honduran restaurant called Patio Tipico. There were only a few people seated when we arrived but, that soon changed as the evening progressed, the establishment hit full capacity by 11:00. Many appeared to be locals, as the greetings and hugs were frequent among them. Being a Saturday night, most had come with dates to dine, drink, dance and sing. There was a DJ mixing a good blend of latin club sounds with alternative traditional songs by the customers via Karoake. The food served was good and moderate in price. I can’t recall the full name of the entree but, it had the word Melanese in it so, I figure it was an Italian dish out of a Honduran kitchen. The chicken was a healthy breast filleted open, moist with a red sauce and melted cheese covering it, the sweet plantains fried to a golden brown, the mixed vegetables, glazed with a light garlic butter, were not over cooked and the salad leaves were crisp with an abundance of tomato slices, onions and cucumber. Although we had the owners outgoing son (Joel/Joe) as our waiter, the service was a little slow and could have been somewhat more attentive but, it wasn’t the Marriott and I kept in mind how busy it had become (I’m patient within reason). Drinks were on the pricey side, most likely due to its airport hotel proximity or simply because it’s Miami. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and the entertainment. I’ll be back in Miami within 2 weeks of this visit and plan to go back. Viva la Patio Tipico!
Poor service!. I love curiles and know them very well. When I knew Patio Tipico served them I took a trip from Orlando to Miami. I now regret the long drive!!! They were sooo hot that it seemed they had poured a whole bottle of Tabasco in them! When I told the waitress she turned rude and said there was nothing she could do about it. I had ordered two more curiles to go and after tasting them, I asked the waitress to please cancel my order, she then was very rude and said that she could not do that because it was already in the computer and if I cancelled it she would have to pay for the order herself. Bottom line any other restaurant would have tried to correct the problem, but not this one. You ordered, you eat it, whether you like it or not, and if there is something wrong with your food….tough luck. Will not ever go back!!!!
Have eaten here almost every time I had to do Professional Development courses at the MDCPS Region Center nearby, and the food is always excellent. Service is friendly and fast, prices are reasonable. Great place for great food.
Food is good. La Picadera and Baleadas are must try’s. Good crowd, especially on karaoke nights. I wish their drinks weren’t so pricey
