GREAT PLACE. I was very surprise to read the review that was just posted last week on treats cafe of miami springs. Today they had the best Pastrami Rachael Sandwich ever. I been a loyal customer for the past 28 years and the new owner is a very nice person and nothing has change, the quality of the food is the same or better and the place looks great. there Greek salad and the blue cheese salad is wonderful… need to try it,,,,,
Things change.. Treats used to be wonderful. Unfortunately, with new owners, the quality has vanished. For many years, this little place served an amazing array of good quality food. But I think the previous owner made Treats special. Tonight I was served rancid roast beef on a stale croissant with unripe tomato– a far cry from my previously favorite sandwich here. My wife was served warmed-over meatloaf- dried out and cold in the middle. I sent back the roast beef and witnessed the owner arguing with the waitress. This made me a bit uncomfortable, and having been surprised that the bad meat got served in the first place, we asked for our check and went to leave. We paid for the uneaten food rather than argue about it, and much to my surprise, the owner retreated to the office and made no attempt to rescue the situation or to stop us for paying for the meal we did not eat. We also witnessed incorrect orders being brought out to customers other than us, and noticed that the wait time was over half an hour for us and other patrons, even when soups and salads were in the order- they never brought out my wife’s soup prior to delivering the meal. It saddens me to write such a negative review for a place that I have loved and recommended for so many years.
Favorite. I have been eating at Treats for too many years. If I found a place near as good and consistent, I might go there but so far no such luck.BTW who makes their fantastic matzo ball soup??
