Great experience! The ice cream is homemade and the waffle cones are made to order and served warm. Delicious and fresh ice cream, gelato and sorbets! My husband and I had seconds and tried their homemade key lime pie made fresh by Destiny. Mr. C has a dedicated loyal staff. My husband and I will be returning often for the fresh desserts and amazing service from Destiny. Thank you for all your help D.
Loved this place! Very freshly made homemade ice cream and gelato and sorbets. My husband loved the cantaloupe sorbet; I loved the creamy coconut ice cream. The gelato here is more icy, less fat. Craving the full fat rich experience, after sampling both went with the ice cream. Large portion for the price. It only has 2 tables so expect to take out during busy season. Bargain lunch would be their ny style Nathan’s hot dog , a drink, and ice cream for only $6.95! Glad we found this place… Double yum!
Bizarre. I entered the store for the first time one afternoon, and asked the owner about the pricing on his ice cream. When I simply said that I would pass (because I thought that it was too expensive), I began to walk out of the store. The owner then launched into an angry tirade in front of several children and other customers. Perhaps he was offended that I thought his prices were excessive. Anyhow, I was shocked that any business owner would berate another individual like this. I would have to say it was one of the more bizarre encounters that I have ever had.
Well I have never written a review before. I know I should but I just don’t. However this may be the BEST ice cream I be ever eaten. My husband and I are great lovers of ice cream. We have tried a lot of ice cream over the years and this is the real deal. Just go. And be sure to try the chocolate brownie.
Disappointed. Our hotel told us there was 2 ice cream places on Key Largo, so we decided to try the one that was closest, turns out we should have driven a mile up the road. The ice cream wasn’t that good, it was quite expensive, and the owner was there and disappeared into the back room, not to be seen for 10 minutes after taking only half of our order. We should have made the trip to the other place by the Publix? supermarket up the road,
Stopped here on a whim and glad we did. We had two hotdogs and two cones. Everything was absolutely delicious. Nathan’s hotdogs with homemade chilli hit the spot and the homemade waffle cones and ice cream was the perfect dessert. The owner was there running the counter and was friendly and courteous. He checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed. Just be aware this shop is a tiny hole in wall shop. This isn’t a new fancy chain shop but it is clean and quaint. If you are staying in or going through Key Largo you should definitely stop in here for a cone.
