This place has changed owners a few times. All have been horrible, but since we are Piners we try to support our community giving places a few more tries than they may deserve.Last time we went the inside of my burger was still frozen!! Our waitress reeked of cigarettes & the table was sticky! The rest of the food was .. Well just food. Nothing delicious.
Terrible service. Unfriendly staff. Dinner portion was not large enough.
Well would nt eat anything out of this place 3 times fried french fries scrorch mash potatoes frozen hamburgers owner hovering all the time most everything seemed frozen over cooked
Good service. Sticky table though, empty boxes laying around, made me wonder about kitchen. Food mediocre. Pizza not great. Fish tacos bad (frozen fish sticks?). Green bean app good.
Very nice. Clean and friendly staff. Go for the Duval Pot Pie and a draft beer. Just enough after a salty day.
Karen. As locals we always support new eateries, bars, etc. in the Big Pine area. We are self-proclaimed foodies and were hoping for the best. Having lived here to see this establishment change hands three times, we were hopefully optimistic but throughly disappointed. We went at happy hour, but there were no happy hour food specials, only $2 beer specials and a slight discount on house wines. Yes the place was remodeled and looks a lot cleaner, but there is absolutely NO atmosphere. There is NOTHING to do except watch a couple TVs and stare at each other and the patrons; VERY BORING. The appetizers were priced too high (around $10), so we just ordered some chips and salsa that was average at best. The menu was average, offering much of what every other place does. The new owners should have kept an area for entertainment such as a pool table, shuffle board table, darts, etc. and did something more to entice locals as well as passers by. Too bad Big Pine did not gain anything different in this establishment .
Seafood go-to. We ordered a shrimp cocktail and fish dinner to share, with beignets to take home. Best shrimp we’ve had in the Keys this trip. There were three fresh fish specials. Our swordfish was cooked perfectly. The beignets were good, too. The bar and the restaurant have been separated, so you can actually have a conversation.
