Best soul food around. It’s the best food I’ve had in Mt. Dora. I love soul food. My first time trying it and I’m in love. You have to look inside the window for the specials they’re not on the menu on the window. I had the oxtail dinner with collards and black-eyed peas. A slice of cornbread. I brought it home and couldn’t stop eating. The area is a little sketchy, but it was all good. You do have to wait a while for your food. Friendly service. A must go to place. We went to the Art Festival and I didn’t want to eat anything there. Thank God.
Why waste your money??. If you are visiting Mount Dora and you like (or love) authentic down-home southern cooking, then you damn well better visit Ivory’s or you are wasting your money! I grew up in Georgia, I’m proud of my southern roots and I know good food. I’ve been to 48 States and 18 Countries, Ivory’s rocks!! From the collards, gizzards, fish and cornbread this is the place for food that will make your mouth want to kick ass on your stomach for thinking about quiting! Let me say one more thing -cornbread. If you even think you are from the south, then try it and taste for yourself….Five Stars plus!
