Cozy Atmosphere. I was actually turning around to head back up Highland to another little eatery that had caught my eye, when I realized that the brewery offered breakfast as well. Was empty except for us. The menu looked inviting, but pricey, guess that comes with merely driving into Mount Dora. The service was pleasant, but took a long long time, which being the only patrons there, was surprising. I read some of the other reviews and it appears some loved the experience or hated it. A good and attentive waitress can make or break the return of patrons. The blueberry pancake was good and the scrambled eggs my granddaughter ate were gone in an instant, so I guess they were tasty as well. The prices and slowness are why I likely won’t be back, but perhaps better for lunch or dinner. Recommendation: focus on Lunch and dinner and get really good at those. Plenty of eateries that offer breakfast, reasonable pricing, but close at 2. Then is when folks are looking for somewhere that is open for a late lunch. If your dining experience doesn’t include worrying about cost, this quaint little spot if for you. Make it a easy going day though, and be patient, the food is coming. Maybe small dinner bells on each table for the incredibly busy staff that disappear when refills are needed. Sharing this with residents, allowing them to decide to try.

Mediocre. When we walked in the staff/owner looked annoyed we didn’t know the seat yourself policy and had to ask. The server was great but the food was the slowest I’ve ever experienced. My wife and I actually lost out appetite between the appetizer and the food arriving. Probably won’t go back.

Bad beer, lazy staff. We’ve been wanting to go to the Brewery for a long time but for whatever reason whenever we go to Mount Dora we never make it in. So on this Saturday trip to Mount Dora we finally made it a point to stop in to the Brewery and sample their beer. The place is really cozy with a plenty of seating and tons of board games. My girlfriend and I both got their sampler flight. Every single beer we tried was completely flat. There were two that we physically could not get down. Our bar tender talked to us once and never checked on us. We ordered food that never came and watched as another bartender ate in front of us. We talked the table behind us and they were equally displeased for the same reason. Bad beer and worse service. We kept our promise and stopped in but won’t be back. If you do happen to go make sure you eat first and stick to the guest taps.

Patience Required. Went for a Sunday morning breakfast with a group totaling 6 people. Placed a drink order fairly promptly, which took a good 10 minutes to receive. Placed the food order at that time, and then observed multiple others come in and be served while we waited on our breakfast. Approximately 35 minutes later, as animosity escalated, our breakfast was finally served. It was pretty good, but somewhat irrelevant after such a wait.

Food is good, very generous portions. Our order was not what we ordered but what we got was good. The staff and owners are friendly. There is a very loyal local group of regulars. We didn’t hear the music but other guests said that is why they come. The beer was the weakest part of the experience. I love beer and go to brew pubs all over the world, I wish the one in my hometown had better beer.

Cracker Barrel Meets Cheers. Enjoyed a double date at this unique wood-shop- turned-brewery- and – restaurant last evening. My wife and I split the the sampler beer platter, which I highly recommend, if you want to experience the full range of Rockin’ Rabbits products, and still be able to drive home. The owner came to our table and discussed the origin of their restaurant, and also informed us this the only uses organic grains to brew his beer.We thoroughly enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip – was hot & creamy and melted on your warm tortilla chip! I tried the Mahi topped with mango pineapple salsa and it was delicious . The staff was prompt, friendly and very accommodating . We moved to the bar area to listen to Andrew and his band rock the house. They were fantastic ! The roof of the bar has exposed pine rafters with old tools fastened to the walls, thus the workshop vibe with the Cracker Barrel spin. We will definitely be back !
