Best BBQ around, tender as a mother’s love Great food, great service!! Run by a husband/wife team with a devout attention to detail & succulent mouth watering BBQ ….outstanding in all aspects
Great BBQ and a great price!. We are at the ball fields down the street a lot and are hungry come lunch time. They serve up a to go order in minutes, and the price is great. My only complaint…they are only open a few days a week!
Always Great. JT and Tina have been serving up amazing BBQ for the better part of 9 years. I have no problem driving from Orlando to Mt. Dora just to eat at Sugar Boos. The people are great and the food is even better. Best ribs I’ve had and Tina’s brownies are sublime. Worth the drive!
Sugar Boo’s has great potential. The people who is running it are awesome, the location is great. A few tables outside where you can sit down and eat. Easy to spot on the corner of Grandview street and Lincoln. The Potato sallad and Beans is good. However, both times we had the ribs they have a boiled texture them.. The brisket was pretty good, not dry at all, just a bit to bitter and cut a bit too thick.. Have not tried the chopped pork yet..
Delicious BBQ. I have traveled all over the US tasting BBQ and I have to say that Sugarboo’s is truly a unique flavor. Their ribs were cooked to perfection, chicken juicy and tender and you can tell they truly love to do what they do. You really should try it! I have found that the best BBQ joints are in some of the not so great parts of town, but Sugarboo’s is definitely a diamond in the rough. Definitely my favorite!
After reading other reviews I decided to give it a try. What a disappointment! The food was mediocre at best. BBQ was smoked but no flavor sauce was nothing special. Potato salad appeared to be store bought baked beans were pretty much canned pork and beans garlic toast was very familiar like Coles frozen from your grocery. Good luck eating outside in that neighborhood. I guess it is easy to be the best in mt Dora when you are the only one. Ps. People were very nice though.
Finger-Lickin good. This BBQ joint is the best of it’s kind in the area. It is a cute little place where you can sit outside at the picnic tables. The neighborhood is a little shady, but it’s never been a problem for us.
