The atmosphere is my kind of place. Tucked downstairs, with a wrap around bar. The staff were friendly and attentive. We shared an appetizer of beer battered mushrooms and gator bites. Both were just okay. The beer selection lacked my local favorites and very few options on draft. Overall, the menu looked adventurous and well crafted.
The burger was very good. I am willing to believe it’s the best burger in town though I haven’t tried the competing burgers. Friendly staff andGoodBeer selection.
I thought this little underground pub was cute. We were shopping on a hot day and the cool shadiness and laid back feel were exactly what we wanted. We had the cheese platter with cheddar, swiss and brie. We had a bit of a wait before the platter was brought out, but the baguette was warm and everything was nicely presented. The cheeses were fantastic. We were able to get more bread with no extra charge. I will definitely go here next time I’m in Mt. Dora!
Dissapointing. What a disappointment. Been their several times when friends visit in the past and was good. This time was one of the worst meals I have had. I feel sick just thinking about the food. Had fish and chips, the recooked fries were cold and the overcookedlump of batter (small amount of fish). Other dishes we ordered were equally disappointing. Staff were as pleasing as the food, cold and tasteless, I will not be returning..
Food and service both good. My only complaint is about the hours. The bar staff like to close early so they can enjoy their own plans. On several occasions I have gone to this bar to grab a beer around 9pm on a fri/sat only to find them closing up. Makes no sense.
Frog and Monkey !!!! Pleasant bar downstairs off street level very bright service was very friendly order the fish and chips found to be greasy but fish. (Cod) was delicious fries very frozen and tasteless mt girlfriend order a hamburger her first reaction was it weighs a ton she enjiy so much she finish it along with home man potatoes salad recommend. The burger and a cd beer
