Our reservation was for 9:00 PM and the place was packed. Service was attentive although slow. For starters, Escargot vol au vent, Irish whiskey onion soup.both delicious. The escargots have a champagne cream sause and shiitake mushrooms.Dinners come with either regular salad or Caesar. There was a prolonged wait between the appetizers and entrees. We were wondering ehat was going on. At least 30 min.The Stuffed & Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Andouille sausage, apple chutney. It comes with mashed potatoes and sparragus. I liked the combination of texture and flavors. The bland tenderloin with the sabory sausage and fruity chutney. A choice if dry Reisling was good.Filet Napoleon with the shallots, portobello, gorgonzola cheese is a strong combination. NY Strip Special with chestnuts and a garlic glaz both cooked perfectly. Both paired with a strong red.Bread puding a la mode sealed the meal.

When it’s good, it’s great, and when it’s bad, it’s not. If it is not, don’t expect much in terms of consolation. This establishment does not typically apologize when they make a mistake, and why should they? The place is booked solid with reservations all weekend long. Somewhat typical of Mount Dora, if the atmosphere is right, the business will flourish regardless of consistency. This is not to say the the Goblin Market is a bad place, it will typically meet or exceed your expectations. Just don’t expect them to make it right if they do not meet expectations, which seems to lean about 80-20 in your favor.

Loved the atmosphere. Sat on the patio for an outside lunch. Pricey, but worth it for an original menu. Escargot and fried green tomatoes were excellent appetizers. Grouper Cesar and burger were also very good. We brought the kids who also enjoyed their meals, we will go back, hopefully for a date night!

Unbelievable. A non-descript former residence in an alleyway with an incredible atmosphere of an old library. The place is tight and cozy. It is hard to stay out of the way and there is usually a wait. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT. The food, service and presentation was FANTASTIC. The menu is loaded with creative and interesting items. We had the fried artichoke appetizer, the cashew encrusted chicken sandwich and the grouper Caesar salad. The prices are only a little high but every cent is earned. The portions are huge, you will not leave hungry. A lot of upscale restaurants fail to meet their expectation given the prices they charge. This place is a bargain for the price. You could not ask for better food quality, menu creativity and value for the price paid.

OMG. Birthday dinner. Tony was excellent, great recommendations. Appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts were excellent. Great selection of wines for all price ranges. Our server Tony was great. Don’t miss out. It was a three hour dinner of excellent food and spot on service. I would question anybody that does not recommend as a foodie that travels and seeks out great restaurants this is a place to add to your list. Enjoyed a bite of everything my four other guests ordered and all were out of this world. Don’t go expecting a fast dinner, if that’s what you want, try Olive Garden in Orlando.

Fabulous. Awesome food, superbly presented and served by an extremely knowledgeable, friendly wait staff. Everyone working there is concerned about your enjoyment. Nothing too small for them to take care of. Tho you have one waiter, if another sees you are in need then they fill in. This is the first time here but it has been recommended by many of my friends and they were right. This is for the discriminating diner who enjoys excellent cuisine. We had the 3 starters … Irish Whiskey Onion Soup, Crab Bisque and Tempura Dipped Artichoke Hearts as we didn’t want a large meal. The Onion Soup was the best I’ve ever had. They are not open holidays. I intent to go back and would highly recommend the experience to everyone.
