New to the area. 4.999 out of 5. First let me say this place is very clean and the staff is very nice. Jennifer was who I dealt with. I told her I was new to this area and she also gave me suggestions for a few other places to eat as well. But the star of the show is of course the burger. The meat was juicy and all their toppings complement the burger not hide it. I also had the strawberry butter cake. The cake was so creamy my date thought it was cheesecake. Soooo good. Only flaw was the fries, they were not crispy like fries should be. I definitely will be back. They also have good specials.
I like it…. I’ve drove by the Burger Monger dozens of times and have said I was going to stop in. I finally did it and I’m pleased that I did. You can find an overpriced burger anywhere in Tampa and this one too is a bit pricey. That being said, I really enjoy the choose your own toppings concept and so did my wife and children. The burgers were served piping hot, and put together just as we had ordered them. The fries were good and not a soggy, greasy mess like those that are found at some other high end burger chains. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and the food was good. This place is never going to be Michelin rated, but for a darn good burger its worth a shot.
Eh nothing special.. I was hoping for a more spectacular burger. go across the street to red robin and you will be much happier 🙂
Should have gone next door to McDonalds. Burgers dry and cold. Fries overcooked and greasy. Tasted burnt. Save the worst for last. They allow patrons to bring large dogs into the restaurant and sit at tables. I mentioned it to the cashier and he just shrugged. A waitress told me that the folks with the dog were regulars so they didn’t mind. It was not a service dog. It was at least a 25lb dog and was carried. We took our food and left. Disappointment all the way around.
Best burger in Tampa!. I have been a fan of Burger Monger since it opened. The burger monger, medium rare with cheddar cheese, balsamic tomatoes, grilled onions, banana peppers and monger sauce has been my only pregnancy craving and my husband and I end up eating here a few times a month. The service is on par with similar tier restaurants (Burger 21, Square One) but I enjoy coming here because of the friendly familiar faces and AMAZING burgers. I wish I could say how the hot dogs are but honestly, I can’t get myself to order anything other than my standard order because it is that good!
