OK place to eat. We go to this place for breakfast and sometimes cubans never really had any issues, Good food and prices. But we went today for luch and decided to do something different and ordered the Palamoia breaded steak sandwich Big Mistake it was not great at all my cuban bread was breaking apart everywhere like when the bread gets old and heated up it becomes cripsy, and the sandwhich’s were very dry we asked for mayo and mustard but it was very dry still and hard to eat. They also forgot to put the cheese and fritos on the sandwhiches too. Deffinitly not worth the $15.00 spent on two sandwhich’s. The waitress also could not answer my questions I had while on the phone placing my order which could be why some of our items were not put on our sandwhichs.Better luck next time I guess if we decide to go back, Kinda do not like to waste money!!!
Awesome neighborhood joint. We live right around the corner from Cafe Caribe and have been going there as long as I can remember. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. It’s really a neighborhood hangout. The staff is friendly, not overly so, just friendly and appreciative of the business. The food is always awesome. So glad they got a bigger location–they needed it. Best Cafe Con Leche in Tampa. It may be best on Planet Earth. I visit my family in the area and we head straight for Cafe Caribe when I get here.

Great breakfast foods. One big issue. One of the newer waitresses is less than stellar. When she approaches the table, she doesn’t greet us. She just stares at us as if we’ve inconvenienced her somehow. When I asked for coffee, instead of asking if my wife would like one as well, she simply put out two fingers. It takes a lot for me to complain. Can’t handle service like that so early in the morning. Sandwiches are great, though. I will continue to go, since there is only a 1 in 3 chance I’ll get the crappy server.
Hours are 7am to 3pm – Mon. thru Sat. 8am to noon on Sunday.
