Fraudulent fish served. Ordered the fish and chips, menu stated Cod, was served a Basa or Swai filet (Asian catfish). Swai has completely different shape and taste. It also costs less than half of Cod. At those prices you should get what you’re paying for. And the plate was drenched in greasy soggy fries, very poor. Our first visit a year ago was great, this time crap. One server, slow service, overpriced beers, because they were out of 6…pushed to high end ones. Just POOR, won’t be back.

We loved it. I’m surprised at the negative reviews. We went to Dale 1891 a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday for lunch and the food and service were excellent. I liked the selection and food quality. We used a Groupon (which is why we tried it), and we will definitely go back, with or without one. We don’t drink, but the beer selection looked impressive. The ambience was nice, everything was spotlessly clean. The server was very friendly and accommodating. The place is definitely much nicer than any chain-type place like Chilis. Give this place a chance and I bet you’ll like it.

Came in for lunch and it was hotter inside than it was outside. We ordered wings that were still raw, burger i ordered medium came to me looking like a hockey puck. Our server didnt speak good english it was hard to understand her. Me and my family came back thinking that it could be better it was worse than before. Our alcoholic beverages were good but very strong. Food I’d rather eat at mimi’s cafe then goto dale 1891. This place is only good for a cold beer thats it…..we saw few critters crawling on the bar kyle and the other server that spoke good english those two are a good team. I’m surprised this place is still open. Andit seems that there are problems with Money paying staff we over heard things that makes me not want to come back. Hope your visit is better. Just be wear of the heat inside and don’t mind the critters you’ll fit in just fine.

Food was less then average. Sweet potato fries were good but the ckn on our sandwich was over cooked and the appetizer came out after our entree. Bc of that our waiter mentioned he would knock off a couple of dollars. That didn’t happen. On top of that the beer cheese fondue was more like a beer cheese spread. It was super thick and not good. They have like 25 taps but they were out of over 1/2 of them. I ordered a beer they said they had after ordering one that they isn’t and the waiter came back to the table telling me that they were out of that too. The whole experience was pretty disappointing.

A REAL GEM!!!. One of the absolute best burgers around, served on a sourdough bun with bacon, homemade beer cheese, lettuce, onion, and tomato with a side of beer cheese bacon Mac and cheese!!! Now you pair that with one of many craft beers and you have an unreal meal. Over 20 HDTVS to watch all the games, outside tiki bar with full liquor bar, super clean bathrooms and great service. A real hidden gem in carrollwood, do not miss this place.

Close to being very good. As many have mentioned it is a huge upgrade facility wise to the previous O’briens. Very nice decor, well lit and comfortable spacing overall.Pros- Pretty cool menu and nice selection of beers (couple Cigar City that were quite good). Bartender will give you a taste first which is nice. Anything off the menu with the beer cheese is excellent. One of the better cheesesteaks I have had in a while. Had the beer cheese burger and beer cheese mac and cheese and both were enjoyable.Cons- Server had ZERO knowledge of beers. She did not know what beers they had, mentioned a list but never brought it and when I ordered a Stout she had no clue what I was I talking about. Heard her having issues with large table behind us as well. Male server seemed better, but overall service was very slow. Also the steak lettuce wraps came with barely any beef…really the amount I would have used on 1-2 wraps. Not a great deal for $12.Potential for this place is good, if they can get the server situation figured out. I would recommend beer school or at least giving her a list to leave on each table as she has no idea what the bar has.

Great Food and finally: Great Beers!. Past reviews I read on this place made sense. I loved the food here (best Fish & Chips in town!) and the big flat screen TVs all over make this the best looking place around to see my baseball games, but the beer selection wasn’t up to par… was sort of a disappointment. Then: Surprise! They doubled the taps on the wall to a couple dozen, and added a TON of beer. Last week, they had Bell’s Two Hearted Ale (my fav!) a bunch of Cigar City Brews, some Tampa Brewery brews, some Belgians, and a few small craft USA brewery beers I have never ever heard of before. New bartender guy was even laid back about pouring samples of everything I wanted to check out. Seems like they have all new staff too…which is good (old staff wasn’t up to snuff on the beer department). Yeah they still have Budlight on tap somewhere, but hell, the place is in Carrollwood… so they probably have to. I’m just happy I don’t have to drive to World of Beer anymore… they don’t have food. The only downside I see now is that when I came in the other night it was motorcycle night, and the place was too packed… but I think that’s only once a month or every few months or something… aside from that, only place like it in North Tampa.
