Funny guy makes great pizzas. We went there a few weeks ago with about 7 of us for the first time after church .it was only one guy working by himself with a driver in and out but he took care of business made us feel right at home and even catered to our personal playlist on the tv and cracked a few good jokes thanks bill and we will be back!pie was just right and looked beautiful…a little out of the way but worth the short drive! gene and gloria swindell
After waiting over an hr after they sed 45mins , we get brunt pizza!!! And to think I still gave tip total of $19.00 thanks guys I’ve learn my lession. NY pizza my ass in all my life bein an Yankee your not gud on your best day! They dont answer their phone. We called 5 times to ask if they could accommodate our party of ten, but went to carrabbas when they never answered. Wanted to give it a try but if there’s not enough customer service to answer my call, there’s definitely not enough to take my biggest clients into.
Good food, poor service. Why does it take so long to make a cheese steak sandwich? The first time a co-worker and I went there, we loved it. The service was not so good, but the food was great. Second time, food took forever to come out and the people making it in the back were a little questionable with their cooking habits. Our lunch was so late, they brought us some garlic knots on the house. I would have thought this would have made up for the poor service, but the knots were terrible. They tasted like old garlic butter. So here is my review:Quality: good, but slowly deteriorating.Price: OkayQuantity: Not badService: horribleOther: The strangest thing I noticed was, they don’t serve french fries. Who doesn’t serve french fries at a Pizzeria? Going Back: No, probably not for a while if I do.
Sometimes it’s Great… Sometimes it’s Just Average…. We’ve been there enough to see that there are times when it’s really good, and there are other times when it’s just average – and I’m talking about the pizza. It’s about a 50 – 50 shot, and it’s just not consistent enough for me to say anything more. Let’s call it a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10…We’ve also had the Greek salad – good salad and good dressing, it’s just that the potato salad is probably straight out of a pre-manufactured / processed tub, and is bland. I’d give the Greek salad a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10.The guy that’s usually at the counter is very friendly and tries hard… He speaks broken English, and there is a communication / understanding gap at times… I give him an A for effort…
Best of the Best in Tampa. Having grown up in NY I have always sought a Pizza place with the Right Taste and aroma. This is BY FAR, the most delicious Pizza in the entire Tampa area. You just don’t understand until you try it, then you realize what the others lack and what you have been missing. Price is fair and certainly a great value considering the outstanding quality. Try SAM’S once, you’ll be hooked!Year later – August 2012 – Place has been sold and the quality and taste has suffered badly. Look elsewhere for true NY Pizza.
