  I had high hopes but was disappointed and will not be back. First the good- It is rare to have a choice of Chimay red, blue or white ($9). The warm bread was also good and service was attentive. And now the not so good- my husband said the clam chowder was made with fresh ingredients but was missing something ($10). His snapper was fresh but bland and ordinary ($30). His review was that his food was edible but for the price, he was hoping to love his food. He didn’t get the feeling that his food was created by a trained chef. I ordered a Cesar salad ($8) and the duck special ($28). The duck must have been yesterday’s special reheated. It was so dry that parts were like jerky. No sauce on the duck. It was served with bland brussel sprouts and dried up potato pieces with a dribble of sauce. Given our disappointment, we didn’t order dessert.

  Tried clam chowder and blue crab cakes. Fresh bread with herb butter was very good. Clam chowder was excellent, full of tasty clam and small potato chunks. Outside seating right on fifth Ave for great people watching and tastefully appointed interior with small bar. Great selection of imported bottled beer. Blue crab cake is all crab and delicious. Accompanied by great sauce and perfectly grilled seasonal vegetables. This place gets five forks up, my highest rating. Fantastic quality and fresh taste. If you enjoy great seafood, definitely visit Citrus! Revisited two nights later and again a phenomenal meal. Grilled triple tail and snapper were fantastic. Extremely fresh and delicious.! this is a very good restaurant, one I hope to revisit many more times.

  The best seafood and service you can get!!! The food is so fresh and the owner is always there to help! Best on 5th ave. also in the summer they have great drink specials and also an amazing wine selection
