Service was absolutely amazing and the food is rich and full of flavor. Our server Libby was attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant, and the assistant gm was fabulous as well. My one and only complaint is there isn’t a location in DC for me to go home to. :(05 May, 2015Short Ribs. Veggies and coconut rice05 May, 2015Wild Smoky Salmon. Perfectly cooked salmon, out of this world flavor.
Wow!. We were in Naples for the weekend and honestly had come to expect somewhat mediocre food there. We went to Hob Nob and were very pleased. This restaurant can give any interesting place in bigger cities a run for its money. I hope that it stays that way! We had the arancini, tuna nachos, and octopus with white beans; each dish was pretty near to perfection. Good wine list and the total bill was the lowest of our trip (while the food was the best).
This restaurant was beyond expectations. My mother and I went for dinner and our waiter, Michael, was amazing. He was helpful with the menu and had great suggestions! The Carmel banana pudding with almond brittle was life changing…. I’m more of a chocolate person, but this was amazing. Only complaint was the lighting was dim. Nothing that would keep me from going back.
Good Choice. We showed up at Hob Nob at 6:45 Saturday December 21 with no reservations. Most of the indoor tables were empty and there were several seats at the bar. We asked for the only empty table outside so we could people watch over dinner. We got it; as it was 80 degrees outside people were all over Fifth Avenue. Our server had us drinking a Hob Nob Ale and a vodka and tonic quickly. The ale was quite tasty and the bartender is pouring a good drink, you will want to hob nob. The restaurant just opened Monday so we were expecting them to be at their best. They were.We split a grilled artichoke heart appetizer (wonderful) and ordered light fare for dinner. We had the arancini appetizer and shrimp and grits (small plates). Really excellent food, well presented, nicely prepared and unusual for Fifth Avenue. We had a second round of drinks and I switched to chardonnay, Ferrari Carano. By 8:00 pm as we were winding up our dinner the Hob Nob was packed. Good for them.We will be back for a full dinner order.Good atmosphere, great service and excellent food and beverage.
