Worst restaurant on 5th avenue. The service was awful, the grouper was disgusting and tasted like salt, the bathrooms we disturbingly grotesque. I let the owner know the grouper was terrible and he offered to buy me a cup of coffe or a drink?? No thank you, I will never be back to this hideous place.
Incredible pasta. I am lucky enough to be in Italy twice a year for work. The pasta at L’Angolo is Italian for sure, taste, texture and flavor for sure!! I am okay with the price of the pasta dishes but some of the non pasta dishes are maybe too expensive. Given their location on 5th in the heart of it all, one can expect to pay. Stick with the pasta, can’t go wrong.
A New Favorite. My wife and I stopped in at L’Angolo last week during our visit to Naples for an afternoon cocktail. We sat at the bar and ordered a beer as well as a mango martini. The owner made the martini – my wife loved it (in fact, it was so good she had a 2d). The beer was served in a chilled glass. During our time at the bar, we were very impressed with the restaurant and pleasantness of the staff that we decided to return the following day for an early dinner. L’Angolo runs a special early dinner (specific menu items as well as a glass of wine for $19.99/person). We decided to order from that menu. My wife had the bolognese and I had the braised pork shank. Both meals were exceptional. The tomatoes on the bruschetta were fantastic. The service was very good. The decor and seating was very pleasant and comfortable. We really enjoyed our experiences at L’Angolo and are looking forward to enjoying another meal there in the future.
Been to this restaurant on a number of occasions. I has been my favourite place to go for a real Italian meal while in Florida. But things have changed, and not for the better. While the quality remains exceptional, prices have increased substantially and the portions have become minuscule. Not a value proposition.
Foods great and wines reasonable. Excellent service and many of the staff appear to be Italian. What more could you want.
