IN THE END-A BIG DISAPOINTMENT. We had a very good meal with great views of Venetian Bay. The problems started when I checked my credit card statement the following month and found that an unauthorized additional charge (billed as a gratuity, although Cloydes had included the tip on the original charge ticket) had been made. I called and spoke to the owner, who without apologizing said to fax him a copy of my credit card receipt, which I did. Never heard back or had a credit for the discrepancy applied to my card. I called twice more and left a message and sent an email, but was totally ignored. Had to file a dispute with Am Ex. Enjoy your meal, but if you charge it- keep your receipt and check your credit card bill.
My wife and I went to cloyde’s on our anniversary and had the best time. I had the prime new york steak that was the best I have had in a very long time. My wife had the filet oscar and it was out of this world. The server had recommended this and we’re glad he did. The sides were great. I had the mushrooms and we shared the smashed cauliflower. Both were great. For desert we had the snowball and it was fantastic. Cappuccino after dinner was the perfect end to a nearly perfect meal. The service was very very good. The view from the restaurant is one of three best in Naples. We enjoyed out special night out immensly. We’ll be back soon.
WORST PLACE EVER!. This is the worst place ever. You will get better food and service at Waffle House. I ordered a steak and out came a hamburger (ground beef). After arguing with them about what STEAK means, I order the filet. The rushed it so it came back very rare and I ordered it med-rare. So I told them this is very rare steak, red and cold center. They argued again with me and said they will bring me another steak. The next steak came back and it was just as rare as the first. This place is the worst, they don’t know about food and have horrible service. DO NOT GO HERE.
We went for the early bird special $17.95. We didn’t have a reservation and we were lucky to get a table (hostess was really nice). The special comes with a salad and choice of vegetable or baked potato. We had tower of onion rings to start, they were fresh and cooked really well. The salads with mixed greens & blue cheese dressing were good. We had the prime rib which was thin (about 1 inch thick) but well flavored. We also had the petit filet mignon (19.95) which was really good, but barely enough for a newborn baby! I think it might have been 4 oz two small pieces, I know it’s an early bird special but the portion was ridiculous. The fact that they charge $2 more is not justified. Our server Tom was a nice guy and attentive to us during the meal. Overall this is a good restaurant, my only gripe is the poor portions. I will have to try it again without the EB special and see a normal portion.
The restaurant is a cross between fine dining and casual as there isn’t a dress code. We all had steaks and lobsters and all of our food was amazing! My only complaints are that it’s not kid friendly at all and the waitress we had had an attitude the whole time and was very slow. The service really made the whole experience worse but I would eat here again because the food was so good!
Great Meal. We were looking for a great steak and Cloyde’s did the job. The oysters rockerfella were wonderful and the prime rib was fork tender and served just the way we liked it, rare for me and an end cut for Sandy.
A Truly Awesome Dining Experience. First time here and have found it to be great. The steak was one of the best pieces of meat I have ever had. The seafood is , especially the Maine Lobster is second to none. Love the view, overlooking Venetian Bay. The wait staff is genuine, accomodating and very professional.Understand the restaurant is under new ownership. This man knows how to operate a fine restaurant. We will be back!
