Expensive for quality. We had crab stuffed shrimp and grouper. much like u wld experience at low quality chain. grouper ok, shrimp tiny and tough. wine was good but not worth the $.
Eh & 2 much $$$. We were attracted to stop in for lunch because of the lovely outdoor dinning and overall south Florida feel in the decor. Our waiters service was ok but he needs to use less hair grease his appearance is a little repulsive. We ordered the Pastrami sandwich and a salad with chicken. The pastrami was the worst sandwich ever. The pastrami was over boiled sliced thin and rubbery. Our greasy waiter did nothing about it and charged us for in full on a where over 50% went in the garbage. The salad was ok … We will never return or recommend Yabba to anyone.
Chef Said the (Bloody) chicken was cooked properly. The Wedge Salad was wonderful, then came the 1/2 jerk (bloody) chicken. This was really bad. I cut into the wing and the wing was bloody. I figured, no problem, have them grab me another one. Oh no, the waiter took it and when she stopped by the table she informed us the chef said it was cooked correctly. They must have hired a chicken sushi chef. It was red bloody and for the chef and then the waiter to tell me it was cook properly……….really. Now lets add insult to injury, they return with the same chicken, totally roasted under the salamander (for those who are not a chef, like the writer of this review, is the intense broiler they use in the commercial kitchen). Then they coated it with some kind of low end sugary orange like glaze, like a cheap sugar sauce. Oh did I mention this is supposed to be jerk chicken, sorry forgot that part. I think the only jerk was the chef cooking it. My girlfriend (BTW works for a very large restaurant in Florida) was as appalled as we saw what they did. We even took a piece that was not glazed in sugar and absolutely no jerk seasoning at all. Jerk chicken has a very distinct flavor. My advice to the owner: Train you chefs, if they have to grab a chicken out of the back to quickly prepare it because you are out of jerked chicken, tell them don’t. I would rather you tell me you out, this shows quality. Second, train your staff not to repeat what the kitchen staff says, this is really bad on the waiters part. Teach them a better story. Oh, and to you the customer, don’t order anything jerked, a Jamaican would be embarrassed by this food.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, large drink / wine menu with decent variety. Very slow service on a Sunday evening when restaurant was less than half full. Food was tasteless, unusually small portioned for the price- better suited for lunch sizes and appetizers. 3 of us left hungry and looking for another main course- wish I had taken a photo prior to writing review, but didn’t think we would be so disappointed with our dinners. Stick to the drink here, eat elsewhere.
Terrible. Ordered the chicken tacos which comes with chips and salsa as the side….first of all the chips were stale and the salsa was…meh…Now to the tacos…are you kidding me?? Where is the chicken in the tacos…oh its under all that lettuce…and it was $17.00!!!!! UGH!!!!….you would be better off visiting taco bell…for real…..on top of all…the manager was rude…no thanks…the interior decorations are the only thing going for this place….Food Taster Extraordinaire say….PASS.
Great before & after Theatre fare. A star of Fifth Ave. Love the appetizers and burgers.
