It ain’t fancy, but it is delicious!. Don’t let its location behind a gas station or the row of harleys motorcycles out front deter you – this is classic seafood comfort food at a wonderfully affordable price. Especially considering it is on the edge of a touristy town like Fernandina. The staff is warm and their outdoor patio area is breezy. This is the kind of place you don’t just visit once, you come back again and again!

Third Time’s A Charm. This was our third time this week eating here. It’s just so darn good. Lauren was our server and she had picked my oysters and they were HUGE!!!! I posted a pic of them because they were so big. We are going to miss this place but trust me we will eat here again on our next visit.10 Jul, 2013Another great dinner. Had such a good dinner the other night we decided to come back. This time with my parents. Tuesdays they have an oyster special and even though most of the places around town don’t have oysters….Shucker’s did!! The owner worked some magic and YUM! Once again they were delish!! We ordered a basket of corn fritters( I think they call them corn nuggets) and they were so sweet and crunchy and yummy. I had the grouper fillet and so did my mom, it was fried perfectly and it was a really large pc of fish. My daughter had the shrimp and this time they were bigger and again fried perfectly. My dad and hubby had the blackened grouper wrap and both their plates were empty!! Like I said another great dinner and fabulous service!08 Jul, 2013What a fabulous surprise this placed turned out to be. We started with 2doz oysters in the 1/2shell and a pitcher of beer. I don’t know which was colder 🙂 the oysters were super plump and sweet. Then we moved onto a basket of fried grouper nuggets, shrimp and conch fritters. All were really good. The shrimp were a little small but good none the less. The service was great and friendly. We went out back to through some horse shoes and corn home while we waited for our food. What a cute spot w/good food!!
1st visit and if in the area again will return. This is the place for oysters. Very clean, friendly staff, and prices very reasonable.
Great Food. Absolutely the best seafood in the Jacksonville area. Raw Oysters are the best we have had to date in state!
Delish. Seriously, their peel and eat shrimp are OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING! It really is a hole in the wall backed up to gas station, BUT that being said, the food was fantastic (you should expect typical fried seafood type food). Its a dive, and totally worth it.
