Wonderful setting on the water. We enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Looking over the harbor and marsh to watch the sunset is enough in itself to justify a trip to the Galley. Throw in good food, very reasonable prices and great service and this is our favorite place to eat on the island. We had sliders then a great salad along with a couple glasses of wine($3 during happy hour and $4 later). Save room for the great Key Lime pie. We stumbled upon this place but intend to visit it often.
First class fresh fish, smallish portion sizes.. Catch of the day tasted great. would have liked more of it.
Name changed to The Galley Bar and Grille. Same location, new management. The food is still great and reasonably priced. Menu has less of a focus on burgers but has expanded to include Caesar salad with topping choices of pulled pork, shrimp and fish catch of the day (blackened, grilled or fried). Sandwiches include pulled pork bbq, cuban and catch of the day.
Fresh fish was outstanding Cuban sandwich tasted great was large $2 happy hour beer. $40 two for dinner more than reasonable
New owners. Now called The Galley Bar & Grille. Day I went ended up being grand reopening. Great experience. Real friendly family run business. Reasonable price. Fish was fresh never frozen. Went in the evening and they were giving all the customers bug repellant wipes – a very thoughtful touch at an open air restaurant in Florida.
Currently closed! Under renovation! Call ahead before going to make sure they have reopened.
Really?. I tried Marker 13 one summer evening when some family came to visit. The food was just OK. I had all you could eat shrimp. The restaurant was very small and the waitress told us they had a limited menu. It wasn’t all that bad but we were driven away by hordes of mosquitoes which had easy access to the waterside establishment via the open deck atmosphere. If you have sweet blood: stay away! But I do not believe Marker 13 deserves the great reviews it has received. I am in no hurry to go back.
