Went there for lunch and food portions were small, overpriced and of poor quality. The fish tacos had three bite sized grease covered nuggets per taco for $15! The service was also extremely slow and I can say that we will not be returning.
Recently went for dinner. Azurea has best crab cake I’ve had in my life! Meaty and beautifully plated with a bacon disc on top. Also ordered the NY strip medium and was cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce. When I go for lunch I have to get the seafood cobb salad bc it m showcases all the fresh local seafood and fills me up, which is rare for a salad.
I was blown away by the service and the amount of food I had during my visit here. I was first served an amuse buche consisting of tuna, followed by a basket of varied breads with a platter on which was served extra virgin olive oil, peppers, black garlic, and parmesan butter. For my main course I chose the Sea Bass, which was deliciously buttery and flaky. It melted in my mouth, along with the buttered asparagus and mashed potatoes. Finally, I chose the almond and blueberry tart with citrus glaze. I paired my fish with a Lincourt Chardonnay, recommended by my server. After my dessert and coffee, I was given a platter of chocolates. Amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice date night or special occasion.
Ordered the new rib eye on the menu and it was featured as bone in which generally is a phenomenal cut of meat at most restaurants. My rib eye had no bone in it and was relatively flavorless with very little fat or marbling. Very disappointed. Wasn’t juicy either. I do not recommend it particularly for $42.
From start to end, it was delicious!Tuna tartar treat, bread, Caesar salad and that Coriander Dusted Sea Bass…OMG! Server Anita was great too! Well worth it!
Great food and top notch service. I was afraid to come here with our party of 7 because of some of the recent reviews but I am glad we took the chance. The service was perfect – from the waiter explaining the specialties on the menu to taking the orders to the timing of the courses. Baskets of various breads with various dips and spreads immediately followed by the salads. At the moment salads were completed, entrees came out very shortly thereafter. From the seabass, to the tenderloin, the salmon, and the Kobe beef – everything was top notch. We ordered the family style sides of mashed potatoes, lobster Mac and cheese, asparagus, and mushrooms and all were also very good. I’m not really sure if maybe these people just had a bad server or what but the most recent negative reviews are not a good indication of this place at all. Looking forward to the next visit already.
LONGEST Dinner of my life…. We always take my parents to fine dining restaurants at the beach when they come in town. We love One Ocean but never liked Azurea so after 3 years of avoiding it we decided to give the restaurant a second chance. Our reservation was at 8PM and the waiter literally did not take our order until 9PM! He kept disappearing as we sat there waiting and didn’t get drinks for 30 mins. Our waiter was MIA…even though there was hardly anyone in there. I ordered the sea bass which was supposedly the best menu item and it was dry and lacking excitement. My husband’s steak and my father’s lamb chop were both way overcooked but we were so tired of being there we didn’t say anything. He gave us a free dessert platter for the wait which was dry and tasted old. We literally did not leave until 10:45! After my husband explained this to a manager he comped our entrees. I cannot believe we were going to have to pay over $400 for that level of service and food. Overall a pathetic excuse for fine dining..get it together Azurea!
