  Gone downhill. Used to be good. Chinky bobo breadsticks. Nasty margarine with over spiced gumbo with NO crab. Frozen baby shrimp. This close to Mayport duh? WillBeer good but came to eat. Lots of good beer places at our beach now. Should sell out to something much better. Say bye now Ragtime!Used to be way way better.

  Outstanding. We ventured north along the coast in search of a place for dinner and came upon this great area in Atlantic Beach with all sorts of restaurants and people. It was like finding the brass ring but not being able to grab it. There is no parking. While I say that we did finally find a place but as people not from around this place, we have no inside info on how/where to park. Good luck.Our first choice had a long wait so we moved on to Ragtime and was seated much quicker. Lucky us, because we both had outstanding meals. I went with their Rock Shrimp Carbonara. The shrimp was fresh and the pasta completely coated with the delicious sauce. Pieces of bacon rounded off this great entre. It was a good sized dish yet I finished it all and wished there were more.My wife had a very nicely plated Red Snapper Special. It too was good size and remarkably, she also finished it all. That is even better proof than a testimonial that it was a delicious fresh dish.Service was friendly and fine, just a little laggy. Not bad though, it only took just under 15 minutes for our entrees to arrive. I liked the place, we sat downstairs and they have fish tanks along one side, but no TVs. It was a bit noisy, although we heard no music. We learned they dont actually play ragtime music but there was a band playing later.Atlantic Beach looks like a great area and we thought Ragtime was a great restaurant. It was just tough to stop and visit.

  Poor service food ok. Service was dreadful. Children’s order wrong, luckily they fell asleep but still no reason for it. Ordered food before a table next to us and they got food first. Waitress kept disappearing. Will not make this mistake again.

  Excellent food! Perfect Vibe! This is Atlantic Beach!. Ragtime captures all the trendy beachyness of the North Beach Town Center that rowdy Jax Beach lacks, and trying-too-hard nouveau riche Ponte Vedra can’t achieve. The food is delicious, the service is prompt and with a smile, The bar scene is just raucous enough to satisfy those who seek that. A cool grotto of quiet booths lit by tanks of tropical fish is reached down a short stairway for people looking for a relaxed and quiet dinner. From booths along the window one can watch the sidewalk traffic along the best street scene in Jax. I have never had a meal here that didn’t hit the spot! This is where adults go to eat, drink and be merry. And when you get tired of this place, there are a half-dozen other great restaurants within a short walk.

  Pretty cool bar area but as the night gets old so does the crowd. Bands are sometimes good but there are always old dudes trying to dance and it is hard to have fun cause I keep thinking one of them is going to break a hip or just fall down. The beer here is good and so is the food. Just go early. Usually old people go to places early but this place seems to be an exception.
