(7/30/2017) Needed an ice cream fix on the way out of town on SR-44. Frozen Gold has been around forever, but it’s usually packed when I drive by and the lot is quite small off a busy road. It was a rainy Sunday though, so lucked out and empty lot. Walked in, waited a few moments for staff to show up (they were somewhere in the back and couldn’t be seen). Got a single scoop Strawberry Cheesecake in a waffle cone. Cones are commercially made. Ice cream was light and creamy, slightly icy, kind of on the soft side, not eggy or custardy. Strawberry swirl was from a topping, cheesecake bits were churned in. A Banana Peanut Butter Vanilla shake was made in the back of the house, quite thick and very good. Prices were reasonable, selection was small. NOTE: Cash only.
